I second the windows advice - I just ordered a clip from Toefu Entertainment. Not only is the window way overlit and overblown, but the rest of the scene darkens, to compensate for the bright sunlight coming through! Aargh!
That's why Tickle Haven, Czech Tickling, and James Darke's Shy and Wild Tickling looks so damn good - no windows, controlled lighting.
Having bright sets and backgrounds helps a LOT. I've shot footage in a room with dark walls and dark furniture, and everything else darkens to compensate. The stuff I've shot in a brightly lit, light colored walled room looks spectacular compared to the dark room stuff.
Pay attention to angles also. Hell, go look at other videos, tickling artwork you like, even wedding and photography magazines.
As I've mentioned, I just bought a clip from Toefu...I'm becoming a fast fan of theirs. Cheap prices. Veronica is about to make my top 30 models list!
But damn their angles and positions suck! You see the girl, on top of the model tickling her, but you can't see her face in the same frame. But she's laughing her ass off, beautiful, wonderful laugh, she's enjoying the shit out of this tickling!....., and you're almost want to look behind your computer, like maybe you can see her face laughing ....shit! Frustrating as all hell.
If you hire another girl to tickle another girl...don't be afriad to yell "Cut!" if the tickling sucks. If YOU make a mistake...just stop and restart. I hate buying clips where there's mistakes, and they just leave them in there! Whatever that may be. If you think your tickling sucks, start over. If you don't like your angle, fix it.
I STILL stop myself when I'm working on a project, and do a redo if my camera work or something sucks. I'll never be perfect, no one else ever will either.
Pre-plan as much as you can. If you want her to wear something, let her know....then bring your OWN. A lot of producers WOULD shoot more pantyhose/nylon shoots, for example, but they tell me the models either don't show up in them, or forget about them. Buy your own. If she says she's bringing whatever it is you want her to wear while being tickled, see if you can bring your own. That way, if she does remember, but you don't like it, you've already fixed the problem with your substitution.
Shoot a LOT of footage.
Many videos start of with the model already being tickled. Shoot footage of as much as possible: her arriving, her entering the room with the outfit on, getting ready, her reactions after. It's always possible to cut stuff out. You can never go back and recapture magic...or it's damn hard. Her initial reaction to the first touch of her foot may be glorious, but if you wait until the tickling starts to turn the camera on, you'll miss the first 30 seconds to a minute of awesomeness. If she looks jaw dropping walking in in whatever you will tickle her in.....why not have it on video, instead of kicking yourself for the next several years because you didn't record it?!! You can always include it in the clip, or offer it for free as bonus material for here, and free advertising. TickleTown does this all the time.
And good luck, can't wait for the results!
