If you asked her, she'd tell you what a wonderful man I am. She'd say I was kind, gentle, humble, talented, outgoing and loved by all. If I had any flaws at all, she had no ability to see them. She never failed to tell me how much she loved me yet she expected nothing from me. When I was a young boy, she would give me the last dime she had whenever I asked and I never had any idea that she might be experiencing financial troubles. She wanted me to go on and live my life and always said didn't want to interfere. When I stumbled, she was always there though, never letting me fall. She was the kind of person you'd never notice. She was meager, to herself and completely devoted to her family.

She was really a simple gal from Pennsylvania who felt unfullfilled till she adopted her only son at 43 years old. Her world was that boy.

Two days ago I cast her ashes and a wreath of roses out into the Gulf of Mexico and through tears, watched that wreath float away. I had to steady my aging father on the rolling water. My biggest fan is gone.

I will miss you Mom.

My condolences...

That was a beautiful and moving post, Louis. I am so sorry for your loss.

it is obvious that you were her biggest fan as well as she yours. May the memories always hold a special place in your heart.

So sorry for your loss.

Im sorry buddy. There is nothing that can be said to take away the pain. It's a cruel part of life. I know that your mom would want you to go on and live your life, and fufill your dreams. Do it, for yourself, and for your mother.

Very touching post, Louis. Iam deeply sorry for your loss. Losing someone you love, especially a parent, is a cruel thing. You will always have the wonderful memories of her, and those can serve to warm your heart, and aid in filling the emptiness and the void. Memories of dearly departed loved ones are carried with us for all the days that we live.

Mitch

I don't even know what to say. that was just so beautiful. as the mother of two boys I know the adoration she felt. and reading you express so beautifully what her unconditional love meant to you... she was as blessed as you were.

I am so sorry for your loss... but so glad for you that had her. and that she had you.

I am deeply touched by your post. It's obvious she did a fine job in raising you with the sensitivity demonstrated in your content. I am equally sorry to hear of your loss. It's a cruel fate in life when you lose a parent but you have alot of fond memories to look back on which, hopefully, will help in your coping during this difficult time.

There's not much a person can say when a close family member passes. Your post was touching. I'm very sorry for your loss.
