Mainstream advice

I think there may be a better solution than dissolution. The girl definitely needs to put her foot down, and be willing to walk out, but I don't believe that leaving should be the first and only option here. I'd sit the fucker down and have a little chat with him first, let him know the severity of her words, and give him a chance to change his behavior. Then you have to draw a hard line and be willing to walk away if he can't get it through his head at that point.
