im a huge fan of the wwe and the first to defend it in any argument but can anyone why wrestlers or entertainers as they are now to be called effective as on jan 1st.. using steriods in a fake sport... i mean i know they want to look good but do they really need to use steroids to wrestle?

Vince McMahon has a hard on for buffed wrestlers and big guys

Just look at his failed IcoPro stint in the 90s

also look at how vince has never really given a push to any small worker with the exception of spot monkeys.

I still believe the only reason rey jr got pushed as he did was because of the eddie guererro situation but even rey bulked up seriously and it can be argued if he is on roids

Its been like this since the 80s. 80s and on you had ultimate warrior, andre, big john studd, hogan, etc etc

And yet amazing workers like rick rude and mr perfect and ricky steamboat were never given serious pushes\were mid card performers and lucky to get the IC belt. This is also why lucha style failed in "mainstream" wrestling because it was always buried by the big 2 or used as a cheap gimmick\lets send a 500 lb guy against 3 masked luchadores. Thats why ECW gained what they did at their time. They didnt have the super body builder image or like. You had guys like sandman and tommy dreamer who were prob guys you saw in the checkout line before the show or at the bar

as to do roids help wrestlers? Yes to a degree, steroids help their bodies recover quicker as well as build more muscle mass

couldnt agree with that more.. people like regal,finlay,benjamin, and carlito to name a few who are amazing wrestlers are left without pushes

The steroid issue is not the main one tho

They need to crack down more on amphetamine and painkiller abuse, those are the major problems in the business

they say now the main problem is the use of marajuana and since wwe is now cracking down on that the wrestlers who used to use marajuana have turned to pain killers as you said and heavy drinking and the wwe allows both
