P.S.
Hey, Scam, the pic of Mei Po on the cover almost looks like Madame Koo, in her old outfit. Nice! 😉

I love these stories! Some great writing, especially since interrogation has always been a favorite of mine. I must say I particularly liked "The Wall" in this respect. Great work!

This definitely looks like a must buy. And Scam's cover is killer. Great stuff.

THANKS!!

Thanks to everyone who's made this project a success! A BIG thanks to Scam for the excellent cover!
Response has been so positive to this project, I'm seriously considering a sequel! Watch this space, true believers!

Dude, a sequel is a must at this point! 😎

I have to disagree with such a broad statement. It would certainly depend on how slavery is used in the story.
Although we may not like to admit it, slavery is a historical fact in America. A story that acknowledges that slavery occurred is not in poor taste. My story (I'm curious; did you read it before you made this comment?) merely used it as a backdrop. I used a cruel slaveowner as the villain in the classic tickling-for-revenge scenario. I don't see what's wrong with that.

yes. slavery is a fact; it's more than a fact, it is the root of twentieth-century american history. slavery still exists in america. i am not denying that. my problem is not that the acknowledgement of slavery offends my sensibilities.

my problem is that using the nightmarish reality of slavery as the backdrop for a tickling story belittles the atrocity that was and is slavery. no, i havn't read the story, as i am unwilling to pay the money to do so. but presenting slavery as a saturday-morning melodrama with a "villian" - that strikes me as tasteless and irresponsible.

oh, and i bet it was a womon slaveowner too. so we're alternately victimizing people of color and womyn. are you a white male, by any chance?

I understand where you are coming from and respect your personal view on the subject.

However lets keep this in perspective. I think it is fairly obvious that no disrespect was intended or implied with this story.

Murder, rape, slavery, war, theft, and a host of despicable acts and uncomfortable social issues are often portrayed in fiction, comics, classic literature, television, motion pictures, theater, and countless other forms of media.

For example; the TV series” Hogan Hero’s” was a comedy with WWII and a prisoner of war camp as it’s backdrop and most people understood it was not the intent of the series producers or writers to belittle the war or make light of prisoners of war.

The same is true with the issue of Civil-War Era Slavery in this short piece of tickling fiction. It simply serves as a setting for a tickling scenario. The intent is not to make light of this truly serious subject.

There are far too many serious issues that exisit in our world today. Lets not try to create them where they don’t exist.

Pleatherdyke, I can see right through you. Where is your outrage for such series as Xena or Buffy? Those shows consistently show men being brutalized/kidnapped by women every day of the week, and on national television! Ever watch the Kill Bill series? Women 1/3 the weight/strength of their male oppentents kicking the crap out of countless guys! Completely unrealistic, but it still encourages women to beat up on men. Where's your outrage for that movie, Pleatherdyke? If the situation were reversed and I made a movie where there was a male hero and all he did was kick the hell out of female attackers for 90% of the movie, I think you'd be out there picketing. Feminism - the epitome of hypocrisy.
MTJ is an equal oppurtunity publishing company. He has PLENTY of f/m mags for sale. I haven't heard you expressing your outrage at the women dominating/enslaving men in these stories.
No, there is NO slavery in America... much less than I can say for many 3rd world countries. The only kind of slavery that's around is the kind in your head or in a BDSM club.
You sound like a very bitter person. Are you, by any chance, a non-white female? Don't like being stereotyped, do you?

PS You are not a "womyn." You are a woman. You may hate it, but that's who you are.
🙄

The story isn't about slavery or victimizing women. Instead, it's a medium for exploring fantasy. To the polished, pristine and conservative imagination, it's unsurprising that only the superficial plot could be detected. The rest of us, unfortunately, are only human. The deep corners of our minds are plagued by nightmarish fantasies that may imitate reality out of familiarity. We hide them, by day, from others. We're certain we're the only ones who have them. We're frightened of those who would degrade us for thoughts that we wish only to keep to ourselves. Here, now, is a medium that we can use to communicate our darkest thoughts to others in comfortable anoniminity. Here, we can fantasize about situations that, in reality, we would never consider to be right or just, or about actions that we would never actually perform. And we can do it all removed from those who would accuse us of having bad thoughts, like we were a sunday school class. We can attain a level of normalcy that we never could among the suspicious; those who cry 'confomity' so they can be rightous. This is is a healthy way for us to vent out these thoughts in a harmless way.

And, as much as I dislike broad, general statements, I'm going to make one: it has never been and never will be my intent to offend anyone with anything that I write, and if perchance something does offend someone I do apologize. One of the nice things about this country is that we have the right to be offended and to express our offense. All I'm trying to do is tell an entertaining story, and I hope I accomplish that sometimes.

Xodlirv,

I think that you are an excellent writer, among the best in this genre, without question. However, the fact of the matter is masterfully put by J. Michael Stracynski, writer/creator of "Babylon 5", who says, "You can't write a really good story without offending someone." Someone will always dislike something that you write, an idea you present or whatever. However, if you remain true to your ideas and yourself, then to hell with everyone else's slanted opinions. They have the option of NOT reading and enjoying it, just like everyone else. And your fans will love your work all the more for it. To thine own self be true.

*And for anyone who is offended by what I'VE said and would like to make it known in open forum, I invite you to 'bring it'.

Peace!
~FTKL

Well said...by my two favorite artists of their respective genres.

let's not overpolitize our smut

If one says that stories using slavery as a backdrop are offensive, can I assume that the stories about kidnapping and torturing minors are OK?

Come on, almost all the stories posted here are about immoral and criminal conduct but they are not meant to suggest that the writer or reader would endorse such behaviour in the real world. We are sharing erotic fantasies, nothing more.

I remember watching a documentary a few months back about a brothel in NYC catering to clients who wanted to act out special fantasies. There was an African American businessman who liked to be dominated by a woman and called n---er. Does this mean that he longs for the good old days? Of course not. It's a private, kinky fetish. There are women (and men) who have rape fantasies; that doesn't mean they want to be raped, it means they like the scenario in their dirty daydreams. In fact, I had a long-term girlfriend who was pretty passionate about women's rights AND liked to be tied up and dominated in private. There's no contradiction. She wanted to be equal in society, equal in the relationship, given orders when having sex.

Let's let fiction be fiction. If you don't enjoy it, don't read it.
Assuming the distributor is careful not to sell to minors, I say 'keep it coming'.
