I saw Elphaba started a personal facts thread, and thought that was cool, but my favorite facts are the ones people make up (spend some time in the P&R Forum and get your fill!). Anyway, get creative, my people! The more absurd or impossible the fact, the better!

I'll start us off:

The magnetic field known as the Van Allen Radiation Belt that protects us from harmful radiation of the sun and beyond is maintained solely through the static electricity created from the friction of furry creatures rubbing against each other. This is why it's found to be stronger in the springtime! 😀

...therefore, as more and more species of mammal become extinct, in order to preserve our electromagnetic protection, we shall all have to don angora sweaters while we're getting busy.
