Hi ya’ll,

I recently had a partner that tickled my feet, but I noticed it didn’t tickle as bad as usual. I think it might be because I’m playing sand volleyball this summer and maybe my feet are too rough? Do I need to get a pedicure or something so they’re sensitive? Has anyone else had this issue where their feet aren’t as ticklish as usual?

Thanks for any advice!

Stay with me through this lol.

I haven’t. Mine have always been sensitive, but the situation and Ler can certainly impact it. I wouldn’t stress too much unless you, specifically you, want them to be more sensitive.

I didn’t intend this, but I can’t get pedicures, so I did it more for my own comfort. I used a foot peel. Side effect, after it finishes peeling, holy beans it increased sensitivity. But it takes 2 weeks for it to finish the process.

I also don’t go barefoot often. I’m always in at least socks. It wasn’t to maintain them, but due to sensory issues and I don’t like the feeling of most flooring lol.

Maybe add a blindfold to the mix? Just a few ideas 🙂

Very interesting Quebueno, I honestly thought that time in the sand was good for bare feet. Exfoliating, etc.

May I humbly suggest what Rachel does, by applying a very heavy coat of quality lotion and sleeping in socks. If done every night (or at least attempted as I have to peel her socks off and enjoy the softness at some point, lol) you should notice a difference in your sensitivity when they are tickled.

Foot peel? I never thought about that. I’ll have to get the Wife to try it! I’d do almost ANYTHING to increase the ticklishness of her feet!!!

The one I use is called Baby Foot. Target carries it 🙂

I would’ve thought the same about sand! I think it’s because this sand is very coarse (unfortunately; bad court maintenance).

Lotion is a great idea, I’ll try that out, and if it doesn’t work I’ll try sleeping with socks too. Thank you very much!

It is coarse, but if it's beach sand it also gets hot from the sun and it burns. My feet are definitely less sensitive after a day at the beach. It might be that they're getting a bit rougher but it might also be psychological. Basically, your brain processes less stimuli from your feet so walking on the beach doesn't hurt so much. But I'm no neurologist. This is just my weird theory.
