Maybe men are more likely to act on sexual urges - whether that be registering for an adult website or being open with significant others about unique sexual interests in general whereas females are more likely to repress them? Not sure.

I think guys are more open about it. Girls tend to keep things like this to themselves. Lots of women love bondage, they just won't come out and admit it untik it's happening to them.

Perhaps Annie and Niicole are right, and it's a question of openness. But I've definitely read that from a scientific perspective, men tend to be much more likely to express sexual fetishes. Who knows if that's due to openness or some unknown biological factor...

I think because women are met with negative responses to indulging any kind of fetish or sexual desire, more then men, from men and women. They may have to deal with creeps that hit on them constantly expecting something from them or disgusted looks from other women that don't share the same desires. Or maybe because guys are prone to be more assertive to seeking out satisfaction and women are more reserved to hiding it in fear of ridicule.

- I don't have a reasonable explanation, but I'm wondering if it has anything to do with traditional gender roles. Men are often the seekers, pursuing women to fulfill our sexual desires. As such, there seems to be more men into tickling than women into it. Speaking from my perspective, I see women more drawn to confident, more open, more secure men than ones who are shy & less likely to openly divulge their deepest desires. yep, when it comes to sex, to paraphrase an old saying from the animal world, "Girls rule and guys drool"

The reason is fairly simple in my opinion. Your average TMF guy would be happy to hook up for some tickle action with a woman based solely on her looks alone. That's how we're wired. Hell, sometimes even that bare bones requirement is waved for the potential of tickling. The younger guys in particular think, I like tickling, so I look for action on a tickling web site. Ergo, women who like tickling will also look for action on a tickling web site.

But as it turns out, the number of men actively looking far exceeds the number of women looking. Why is that? It's because women tend to be more relationship oriented. They have the same sexual urges, kinks, and fantasies, but for most of them, that must all occur in the context of an existing relationship. Not necessarily something as grandiose as marriage but there has to be some kind of connection. She has to like the guy.

So most women won't look for a prospective tickle partner on line. They want to tickle or be tickled by guys they already know.

Notice I say "most" and not the blanket "all." There are some women who are as disinterested in a relationship as the guys. There's nothing wrong with that either.

If you ever see how girls talk about sex when they're in groups with other girls, you'll understand why this is. Just as in groups of guys, each guy competes with the others to pretend to be the biggest stud, girls compete with other girls to pretend to be the biggest nun. I'm not sure if it's socialization or wiring or both, but girls seem to think that they have to prove to each other that they are not easy. This may have a lot to do with it.

That's a pretty valid explanation! Plus, if a girl likes to tickle or be tickled, most guys she knows won't think that is so terrible, so a woman can get plenty of action without even going on the internet. If a guy wants to tie down and tickle a girl though...seems much more threatening.

I know I am more private about my fetish. I don't really tend to give out alot about my fetish I think because I have been rejected alot for having it, so i tend to stay quiet unless I get to know you alot better
