Having read the article, it's clear that Stevie is neither a man nor a woman but rather a person with mixed reproductive organs. In an earlier era, Stevie would have just been called a hermaphrodite.

That's true.

I've only heard of the Japanese version of hermaphrodite, they're called "Futa"s [meaning "dual form"], it's mostly girls that are born with both sex orgens.

On a side note, I have always wondered if a "futa" could get herself pregnat.
