I recently had a high experience where...
I felt like i was surrounded by a bunch of poking fingers or something. It was so strange...i had been calling it a "tingle" but it was much like lightly poking fingers!

It was so strange...

But the weirdest part, was at some points, i actually felt like i was being tickled, and i'd start laughing, and unlike the usual marijuana-loose-controll-laughter, i was laughing because something on the inside was tickling! It was so strange.

Has anyone ever had this experience? 😱

Oh yes, it definately increase the ticklish sensations!! And if you play some kind of roleplay while your high, you get all into it.. Its insane!

Pot increases physical sensitiviy... doing a few tokes before a tickle session is totally wild and wonderful!

I've been high before, but not with an equally high tickle partner. I should get Irish into that at some point. Tell you what, Amanda, come visit us, we'll get YOU high, and see if it's true that you're more ticklish when you're toked!

Marijuana is actually a downer that desensitizes.... you might get a numb "tickly" feeling. But you certainly aren't more ticklish.
I gotta dissagree.. thats what drinking does, that why when people are drunk they don't feel as much pain, or can go out into the cold weather naked and not feel that cold.. but after smoking your sensense are enhanced, thats why people tend to grub out cause food taste so good, some people can actually think better.. only problem is, its hard to remember what you were thinking about several minutes before

lol i find it funny that the mods get so upset about underage tickling but they dont seem to care about the advocating of illegal substance abuse on the forum.

and unless your all posting from denver, then I'd say you've all been illegally high. ^.^

In response to ticklersplaytoy, anything that slows your reflex and reaction time is classfied as a "downer". Slows your heartrate... causes you to become more sluggish. Marijuana certainly qualifies as this.

It DOES however make many people very giggly and less inhibited. This can greatly enhance tickle play. But when it comes down to the actual science of cannabis on the nervous system? It's an inhibitor.
Actually, while marijuana does have some depressant effects similar to alcohol (like relaxation, disinhibition, and slowed reaction time), it is also a mild hallucinogen. It amplifies sensitivity to color, sound, taste, smell, and touch. I don't have any personal experiences to refer to, but the science of THC (the active ingredient in marijuana) does indicate that it could make people more ticklish. This is quite different from alcohol, which is just a depressant.

But please [Ticklersplaytoy], don't believe that you can think better when you're high. You can't. It just seems like you can because your judgement is so screwed up! 🙄

Doobage never made me more ticklish, but it does make me horny as hell....

...or am I sharing too much?

Is MJ ticklish?

Okay, time for the toxicologst to chime in: this is actually a big part of what I do for a living (no, not smoking pot – LOL – but rather the study of substances and treatment of ingestions).

Marijuana is a VERY complex substance with HUNDREDS of active substances (cannabinoids) in every joint, bowl, bong, brownie or whatever you are using. These agents have a neurological mechanism which is only partially understood and is quite variable in its effects from plant to plant, from one individual to another, from one delivery method to another, and is affected by the user’s expectations and the social setting in which it is used. The stuff has been around for 4000 years and is the most widely abused illicit substance in America with one survey showing 40% of the American population over 12 years of age having done it at least once (so not “everybody” is doing it, even though many are). I’ll stop with that here lest I perseverate further.

Acute toxicity (i.e. “getting high) is typically described with symptoms such as relaxation, heightened sensory awareness, increased appetite, and a sense of well being. That said it has also been reported to produce agitation, nausea and vomiting, psychosis, and paranoia as well as in other instances lethargy, sedation, inability to concentrate, slurred speech and slowed reaction time. Two morals of that story: 1) it is blatantly irresponsible to drive either drunk or stoned! and 2) marijuana is like that box of chocolates from Forrest Gump.

While in most instances of marijuana use, heart rate increases, there have been many reported cases of decreased in heart rate and blood pressure as well. So truth be told, physiologic findings are all over the map. Chronic use leads to a compromised immune system, reduced fertility, lowered testosterone levels (yes, your balls may shrink), “antimotivational syndrome” (ie don’t wanna do a damn thing but sit around and smoke weed), and the typical nicotine related lung and throat cancers as well as a form of emphysema which makes the one caused by tobacco look like a picnic.

Now despite documented focal increases in brain blood flow in some studies (with intravenous THC oddly enough, not smoked or eaten marijuana), there is evidence to show that you think differently with marijuana use, but not necessarily better. With regular use there is documented evidence of impairments in math skills, memory, and verbal expression (“whoah!” LOL). Ever review later on the last essay exam you wrote while stoned?

All that said, it IS theoretically possible for marijuana to enhance the tickling experience for some people in some situations. But the unpredictability of effects and the side effect profile are, in my opinion, not warranting of its use. There may be those who are adolescent enough to think “it won’t happen to me, I can control it” but in my experience a lot of those folks end up “rolling the dice” with the variable effects of this drug one too many times and end up getting burned or God forbid end up seeing me in the ER. There are many better ways to enhance you tickling experience; attend the next Michigan gathering for some ideas!

Hope that helps shed some light on a potentially very complex issue,

With best regards,

Professor Tkl, MD

We've had various batches of weed over the years. Some do seem to decrease sensitivity. But, the last batch we got actually increases it tremendously. If anyone got me while I was smoking that, I'd be in BIG trouble.

Lest you think you wasted your time in sharing all this info, I'll let you know I found it very interesting. Pot has always given me a massive headache.

[But please [Ticklersplaytoy], don't believe that you can think better when you're high. You can't. It just seems like you can because your judgement is so screwed up! ]

LOL! i know it doesn't make me smarter.. many stupid things i've said have proven this

Well I was high and drunk once and thought of people tickling me and started laughing.

I don't usually do that though. Seems kind of stupid.

my experience

i dont smoke anymore but when i did it would make me giggle like a lil girl

Once, I had the good fortune of experiencing a tickling/sex session while high on magic mushrooms... now that was totally mind blowing! :woot:

Yes, both my lee and I were on mushrooms... it was so intense tickling her, and her reactions were devine! I remember her body seemed to become translucent, like a light was glowing from under her skin.

Many years ago (many, say 15 or so) I used to do nitrous oxide regularly at parties. So much so that I was at one time nicknamed "Dr. Nitrous." It was a lot of fun to get a cute girl on a balloon of nitrous and play with her sensitivity. There was one who was a lil drunk and would get on nitrous and would be off the chart. She is bilingual and would start talking in Dutch.

On the flip side I would be iffy about playing with a partner under the influence unless I was absolutely sure I knew them well enough. At the present time I don't see myself doing that again because it can be a little risky especially if bondage is involved. I definitely would advise against doing anything where BOTH people were high and not in full control of your brain functions, that is a potential accident ready to happen. Yes I know it is only tickling but you can do too much and hurt someone or if they passed out would you be in a good state to handle it?

Just past experiences and words of wisdom.
