Last night I went to go watch The Thunderbolts* with friends and I had a really good time watching this movie. My only nitpicks would be the motivation and closing arc of certain minor characters but the movie tackles some serious real-world issues like mental health and depression which I admired. The characters all have fantastic chemistry with one another, and Florence Pugh gives a fantastic performance alongside David Harbor’s hilarious comedic approach and Lewis Pullman’s impressive acting. While I don’t necessarily think this movie is grounds for Top 5 Marvel movie it’s pretty up there and I personally liked it more than No Way Home (almost tied with GOTG Vol. 3). Would highly recommend watching with a close group, Thunderbolts* almost made me shed a tear— has me cautiously optimistic for Avengers Doomsday. While I’m not entirely sure if Marvel’s “back on track” this movie is certainly a step in the right direction and shows what they’re capable of. 8/10 film
