Awesome movie, I espically liked the point speech (no that wasnt a spoiler)😛 If you dont stay and watch the creidits (yes ALL of them) then you miss out big time :sowrong: I like when (not a spolier) the Agent Smith kills a pointless bystander and the PB says "Oh God!!!!!" and AS reples "Smith will suffice" :blaugh: There are some other good quotes that I cant remember, probably due to the fact I almost died a couple of times on the way home. 🙄

Big Spolier: Neo chooses love (hey I gave you plenty of opportunities to hit the back button, aint my fault you didnt)

I need to see it again and yeah I stayed behind for the credits.
Unsure on how I felt about it. Definately need to see it again.

Glad to see my girl Trinity again, it's been too long...
"Sample this." She's got the attitude I love.

Love what they did with Smith.

I will not say more to avoid spoiling the movie other than... I will be buying more chocolate for my dates. 😉

I saw it agin! Im debating which pair of sunglasses to buy, any suggestions?

Me too.

I liked it the 2nd time much better. I had hyped it in my mind for so long that I was expecting the same rush as the first one.
Second time around I appreciated the story better.

As in the sunglasses, the new ones are cool but I like the originals better. Though Morpheus has the best ones of all! 🙂

It depends on what kinda movies you like Jello.
You may love it or hate it.

Those that hated it, had a problem...
they wouldn't... free their minds.

🙂

Hmmm...maybe I'm alone in this, but I didn't care that much for Reloaded. Not that it was a bad film in and of itself, but it lost almost all of the originality and surreal charm of the first one. The Matrix succeeded for the same reason the first Star Wars succeeded...it was a retelling of a classic mythological concept set in a high-tech world. Luke/Neo...Obi-Wan/Morpheus...Darth Vader/Agent Smith...Han Solo/Trinity...you get the picture.

Reloaded seemed like it went completely off course from the whole pretense of the first film. Don't get me wrong, I liked the explanations of the different concepts, but they were rooted in such prolonged, deep pontification that you lose interest in what the character is saying after the first 27 sentences.

I also had a problem with the fight scenes. Not that they weren't cool and innovative, but they went on too damn long! The initial "Wow" of a stunt was soon replaced by "are they almost done yet?" or "How many more can they throw at him?". Again, a Star Wars comparison...In Return of the Jedi, when the huge swarm of TIE fighters shoots through the Rebel Fleet, it looks really cool, you get taken aback by it, and then you move on to something else, or expand. The impact of the coolness hits you, then leaves you wanting more. In Attack of the Clones, the sheer volume of the participants of the Battle of Geonosis is too overwhelming, and you lose the coolness and any impact because you just can't pay attention to everything at once. And it's too long. Same with Reloaded.

Like I said, it wasn't a bad movie...it was just very dissapointing when taken into context with the stunningly good original. It was either 20-minute speeches or twenty-minute fights. Perhaps it will serve as more of a set-up for a stunning third chapter, and we'll remember it that way.

I did like Neo's uber-cool self-assurance in this one, a lot less whiny than the first. Another excellent bit of imagery was the erotic dancing scene in Zion. It does a superb job of showing you exactly how far apart man and machine really are...humanity stripped to its bare essence.

I'm still looking forward to the third film, I just hope it's a little better.

What does everyone think was the best scene in the movie?

For me it was either the Car Chase or the battle b/t Neo & all the Agent Smiths, both instant classics! :wow:

The car chase took 14 minutes I liked when he was talking to the creator of the Matrix

I love to hear myself talk, so here goes..... I got trapped by a friend of mine into going to see it. I mean, I wanted to go, eventaully, but I hadn't seen this guy in awhile & he wanted togorightnow!!!!!

AND I wanted to go rent the 1st Matrix before seeing the second so I could recall all the nuances, characters, plot, etc.... after the two year gap in my memory. Well that went down the drain.

So of course I get there and I'm utterly lost & confused for almost 3 hours watching the most too-damn-serious-about-itself film ever(didn't realize it was opening weekend so's its crowded, too). Larry Fishburne squaking on & on with this psudo-Shakespearian crap made all the worst because the week before I was watching him in Othello doing REAL Shakespeare and he was quite good. The lovely & talented Jada Pinkett Smith in a WAY tinier role than the liberal media is letting on..... and so much goofy-ass Roger Rabbitt animated CGI stuntwork.... I'd heard that there was one of the best car chase scenes ever in this film. Sheeee - when people can do funcking magic tricks to get them out of danger it kind of loses it's edge & drama. If Harry Ford could'a said "Shazam!" in The Fugitive I don't think people would have gone on & on about how great that film was.

The part where Ted Theadore Sturgeon was talking to the creator of the Matrix was really good, though. There wasn't a bunch of fake action and you could use your brain without overstressing it like when Fishburn opened his mouth. And Smith was cool.

And what was with the parents taking their young kids to a rated R movie? You're parents, you make sacrafices. Can't go to an R rated flick 'cause of the kids? - you sacrafice, wait, and rent the video when it comes out. The parents dutifully covered their childrens eyes when Neo & Trinity were doin' it, but never once covered their eyes when people were getting stabed or shot or covered their ears when the damn cussin' started.

I can not WAIT 'till the next Matrix and they pull the greatest film-joke ever: when Neo wakes up and he's just a regular person at the end & it was all a dream.

Oooo-wheee!

Hey, that's a different theory!

[can not WAIT 'till the next Matrix and they pull the greatest film-joke ever: when Neo wakes up and he's just a regular person at the end & it was all a dream.]

Wow...i never thought of that one. But i think that Zion and life "outside" the Matrix is STILL a part of the Matrix. That explains why Neo could stop the "Squiddies" IRL and why Zion's machines and computers still work for them and aren't trying to kill them.

"You are still human, ergo, some of my answers you will understand, and some you will not" Yes I understood it 😉

We just got back from seeing "Matrix Reloaded", stayed til the end of the credits. What I thought? Refer to Dave 2112's post. That about sums it up.

I enjoyed Matrix Reloaded. I enjoyed the special effects and fight scences. Although the long philosophy and theology laced speeches kinda rub me the wrong way. At times while watching the movie I thought this must just be the "filler material" for Matrix Revolution. The ending prove my conclusion.

Oh man!

Just saw it last night! OMG! Woo hoo!

But Yeah, it's a hard choice on the shades, isn't it? I think Morpheus may in fact have the coolest ones in there, though. The pince-nez type, and that jacket! Droooooool!

Lime-O!

You say you actually purchased some Matrix-type sunglasses... Where?!?!? Inquiring minds wanna shop!:cool2: 😎

Well, if Dan brought this thread back up, I might as well say that I just saw it (along with Bruce Almighty) and it was very good. Now, WHERE'D YA GET THE SHADES!!!!???? HUH???? WE MUST KNOW!!!!!!!!😀

Um, Dave? I now have a very nasty slash fanfic picture with Luke and Han in my brain, set in the Neo/Trinity sex scene from Reloaded. Thank you. I hate you.
