"Didn't I tell you you're gonna get it?" I asked her.
Mature Joanne, a perky blonde older lady, has been in the stocks before and afterward, the way she was talking, she would be out of her mind before she tried it again. I can swear I recall her saying she thought she'd die laughing.
But when I saw her recently, you'd think those words never came out of her mouth. "It wasn't that bad," she told me.
"Oh, REALLY? The I suppose you'd come back again and let me see if I can TRULY break you." And sure enough, there she was, poking her delightfully wrinkly soles through the holes in the stocks and holding her hands up over her head to be restrained. And this time, I wasn't going to let up on her--she gets every bristly thing I own dragged across the bottoms of her feet until she's screaming with laughter!
That oughta teach her. 🙂
