I would just like to give my review of a show I just attended.It was the edgefest in Glens Falls,NY.I have to say that I am dissappointed in the direction that music is going.I have followed hardcore for years and this the first time I ever walked out on one of my favorite bands before they ended there set.It was the people in the pit ecspecially that turned me off.I dont when but somewhere along the way real hardcore kids have been replaced by total assholes.I dont dance much anymore only because I am getting older and I did it for many years...had a lot of fun too!I believe in dancing hard but now all I see is a bunch of foolish jock type kids running into people because there huge.Back in the day if someone like that came to a local show and acted like that they would probably leave on a stretcher.Its about chaos and having fun but its mostly about respect and these kids dont realize that.I just miss the days when being hardcore actually meant something. 
As far as music reviews let me tell you my opinion.The opening band was the battle for the ozzfest winners,I wasnt overly impressed.Next was the band Trivium.They really know how to make good music for being young.God Forbid was next and they always sound good.As I Lay Dying and In Flames both played well.Shadows Fall and Killswitch Engage definately stole the show.I have seen SF many times before and they continue to sound better every time.Over the last year I became a big fan of KE and this was my first time seeing them live.All I can say is wow.They really blew the roof off that place.My opinion is that they were the best performance of the night.Next was Hatebreed.I have seen these guys almost every time they have been around my area for like 8 years and I hate too admit but they really sold out.I cant really blame them,if I was in a band I would want to blow up too.They put on a good show from what I saw but it wasnt enough to keep me in the building.I left half way through there set..first time ever.I am not into Mudvayne really so I didnt stay.Overall it was I good show musically,I just hope the scene doesnt continue to go in the direction its going.Did anyone hear see the show or have an opinion?
