I think he died of a cardiac arrest. They found him not breathing in his home and he was rushed to the hospital..

I was thinking that ironically, with all of the odd ways he was said to be trying to preserve his youth and his life, all that experimentation and surgery likely contributed to his poor cardiac health...

I was thinking the same thing with the crazy diets, the oxygen tent, and the other things he'd do to maintain youth. None of it mattered in the end I guess.
