Now I was with my boyfriend and we have been watching this TV show together until this point. On Episode 8 my two best friends visit and offer to watch it with us. No problem, I thought, sounds great.

EPISODE 8 IS ABOUT AN EVIL PRINCIPAL WITH A TICKLE FETISH!!!!

Now, while the idea of children being involved is gross... (and there were no scenes showing children being tortured in this way thank god cause that would have been very disturbing for me) I admit that the T word came up I every single scene (or so it seemed).

Here I was, blushing, hiding my face, because my friends were watching this too! And what if the T word came up and I gasped? Or what if I looked aroused?

I literally left the room and hide behind the door of my bedroom, listening and blushing, and waiting for it to be over. When I returned, one of my friends asked if I was okay and I fibbed and said I was just feeling hot because of the weather haha

And my boyfriend just looked at me with those eyes that said ..... I know the truth 😉

What horrible luck! Of all the TV shows and all the Episodes my friends could have joined me for?!

when i saw it i was soooo happy i was watchung it alone xD. I am suprised it is the first time i saw this episode mentionned on the tmf

The show made it clear that it wasn't the tickling that was the problem; it was his claiming to use it as a disciplinary tool, paying children to let him do it, and using his position to keep them from telling that was the problem. Otherwise, everyone agreed it would have been harmless.

Yes the show did make it clear that tickling wasn't the problem but man, it made me feel uncomfortable. Loved the show but I just wanted that principle story line to end quick.

A coworker brought up the show to me and I was like, yeah great show which he agreed. I was talking about the big serial killer with the glasses and he brings up how wrong the tickling kids feet Principle was. I agreed and quickly changed the topic.

In the book by John Douglas (the inspiration for the main character), he goes into more detail about why they were concerned, and the biggest factor to him was what if a child was going to tell? What would he have done to stop them? The fetish was not the issue at all; it was who he was preying on, and what he could have done, given the power dynamic.

People have to stop taking everything with the word "Tickle" in it so personally. Most people just don't give a shit.
