It was a cold rainy and foggy night in Minnesota.
A hitchhiker was looking for a ride when out of the fog appears a car without headlights shining or the engine running.
The hitchhiker is so cold and wet that he opens the door and does not notice that there is nobody behind the wheel.
As the car moves down the road a curve sign appears out of the fog.
Just before the car is about to run off the road and into a lake, a hand appears through the open window and steers the car around the curve.
The hitchhiker is starting to get a little nervous now, but dreads the thought of getting out of the car and into the cold.
The car approaches another curve and again a hand appears through the window to keep the car on the road.
This time the hitchhiker has met his limit and he bolts from the slowly moving car and runs to the nearest town.
The hitchhiker finds a Bar and asks the bartender for two double shots. He then starts telling his story and has the people in the Bar listening with all ears.
Shortly two men walk in and one of them spies the hitchhiker and says, "Hey Olaf there's the guy who was riding in your car while we were doing all of the pushing".
