Monday Night Football moves to ESPN

Wow. MNF has always been a bright spot to Mondays. It will still be there, but just won't be the same. Maybe it's because you now need cable to watch it. I know it's a new beginning.. but somehow it seems like the end of a great thing. It's been a sports staple for 30 years. I for one will miss it on ABC.

I had high hopes when I first heard this news, that I would finally get the chance to watch MNF in its entirety, but they are only going to start 20 minutes earlier. I think it's unfair that the people on the east coast have to either miss the end of the game or have to stay up past midnight to catch the end. I figured they wouldn't have to worry about any dopey, lead in t.v. show but I guess they will spend this time now with pre-game hype and over analysis instead.

Oh its definitely because its on cable and not free TV tickletoy. I remember WAY back when I was like 8 that basketball and hockey were on regular TV. I dont mind about Monday Night Football because like most people I have cable its just that this is just the beginning. Pretty soon games will be on Pay Per View. Dont believe me? PPV already offers college football packages, next stop our beloved NFL.

I agree 100% EE. I predict all sports will be PPV by the year 2010 if that long. They will figure out some way to get yet even more money in the player's - and owner's - stuffed pockets. Sad in a way, but a 'sign of the times' I guess.

Yeah thats definitley the future, PPV for the NFL on cable. I guess that satellite will be outdated then. Thats what I think. Hey what can you do but roll with it ...go with the flow so to speak. TickleToy whos EE?

My ex-bestfriends mother who was very cute who I tickled her feet while she watched Oprah. It was in a word awesome! As for me being ElectricEye...maybe I am and maybe im not. One never knows do they but does it matter out of 217 posts 215 have been polite respectful and honest. So if I am ElectricEye I obviously went to the good side of the Force!
