Morning ticklishness!

Iv noticed my level of ticklishness varies during the day but it was brought to my attention (quite nicely) that I'm ridiculously ticklish in the morning when Iv just woke up-like painful ticklish! Why is this thing? And does anyone else get that?

I'm with ya on this, I have nooo idea why but for some reason my body just feels more ticklish when I wake up. I've had my feet tickled like an hour after I woke up and it was friggen torture!

Man that must have sucked! Feet are the worst in the morning aswel! It's like being electrocuted! Full on leg kicks happening and all sorts lol

yeah I think I'm more ticklish in the morning too. just really sensitive skin, not used to being touched after sleeping all night. especially my sides, tummy and feet haha.

i think we're warmer when we're asleep/just waking up because of fluctuation of body temperature during sleep/being buried under a bunch of blankets and such. warm skin is more sensitive than cold skin. bam.

Definitely more ticklish when I first wake up. I think its being warm and lack of touch.

It ties in with another theory of mine, possibly. I've experienced people much more ticklish when they're tired. For me, it takes about an hour to shake off the grogginess in the morning. So it could be a more ticklish time too.

Warm and sensitive in the morning, yup. If Zac wakes up before me [which is rare] he likes to snuggle close and then tickle my back really lightly, drives me frigging nuts. Sometimes he likes to restrain me in the mornings and that's horrible. I've also noticed his feet are super ticklish when he first wakes up, and they're always ticking out from under the blankets...

I can't believe that I have never heard this one before. So the anecdotal evidence seems to be coming down in favor of "more ticklish after first waking up in the morning". Now if there is anyone out there who is such a deep sleeper that they have awakened to find themselves tied to the bed...directs you to the Story section.

I'm always more ticklish when I'm tired regardless of the time of day. Mornings are good for that.
