Most awkward video shoot ever...

So I had quite the experience today. I had a video shoot scheduled for 2 oclock. The girl I was shooting was friends with another one of my models, Meredith. Meredith told me that her friend Sheila was really ticklish and would be totally down for doing a shoot. I trust Merediths judgment so I didn't ask for a picture or anything. As long as the models are ticklish, that's my biggest concern. So 2 oclock roles around. I have my video camera set up and Meredith and Sheila arrive. I introduced myself to Merediths friend Sheila and made some small talk. After a few minutes it hit me. Merediths friend Sheila was a guy... The adams apple was the real giveaway. He/she made a good woman though, and was actually attractive in a tomboyish sort of way. But I could clearly see that this was a guy. What was I to do? I mean, I shoot videos of girls being tickled. I've toyed with the idea of f/m, but seeing as I was supposed to be the tickler, this would technically be an m/m video. I paused, collected my thoughts and just shot the video anyways. I mean, I'm comfortable in my sexuality and don't consider it gay to tickle another man, because it can be done in a non sexual context. Besides, it was only foot tickling, with no bondage. The whole time though it was definitely odd. What bugged me the most was that Meredith didn't tell me her friend was a guy. It just sort of seemed pertinent to the situation. Anyhow, I shot the vid. Sheila turned out to be pretty ticklish. But upon reviewing the vid, the whole situation just seems weird. I called up Meredith a few hours later and was sort of like wtf? Meredith said that Sheila is living life as a woman and should be treated like one. Okay, that seems fair. But seriously, I do feel kind of duped. I don't think I'll end up posting the video on my store... I might just keep it as a reminder of all the weird things that seem to happen to me. I take it all in stride though. At least it was an interesting day. And Sheila turned out to be really nice.... thoughts?

I don't blame you for your "wtf" reaction. If a guy wants to live life as a woman, by all means, let him. I'm as open-minded as the next guy, but it does seem like something that Meredith should have told you beforehand. Perhaps as payback you can get Meredith into one of your videos. 😉

Oh, yeah. Duh. Sorry, I missed the fact that you referred to Meredith as one of your models in the first place. In any case, she owes you big. 😀

heh, that really does round awkward, dude, i'd encourage you to put the clip up for sale anyway, i'm sure there must be some people into tv ticking, especially a convincing one. you might make some money off it, would be a shame to waste it, 🙂

Thanks for the advice man. I'll definitely take it into consideration. After all, theres a market for almost anything these days.

I have to say that I really commend you for making Sheila feel comfortable, at least. That being said, Meredith should have warned you. I'm assuming you pay these models, and it sort of like not getting what you paid for.

I agree with Haribish. Consider posting it just because you never know who may be interested.

Meredith said that Sheila is living life as a woman and should be treated like one.
That's exactly what Meredith should have told you BEFORE the shoot. By not telling you this she played you and when you called her on it, she tried to hide behind political correctness.

It's very possible that 'Sheila' needed the money BADLY, & if Meredith told you beforehand, you would have said no. It seems that this may very well be the situation.
I would like to see what 'Sheila' looks like. Just curious.

I've got a bunch of transfriends because of how active I am in the lgbt community and in this case its hard because I see both sides. However, in the end, she should said she was an MTF. It's one thing if she were just introducing her to you to be friends but from a business sense... it was kinda shitty of her to put her friend and you in an awkward situation.

That being said, I cannot thank you enough for being good about it. Many a man would've freaked and done some nasty things to her for being born male. I'm fairly butch and kinda look like a guy despite my female body parts (that I love and wouldn't change for anything 🙂) I know what it's like to have someone who is not comfortable with someone who doesn't follow the societies norm of two genders and what you did was amazing. Thank you for being open minded.

PS: You should put it up. I mean, it won't make you lose money at this point I would assume but be prepared for getting slammed and make sure to properly label it so people can not watch it if they want to.

Lots of feelings here:

First and foremost you friend should have been upfront. It would be different if you were shooting your own jerk off material, but this is your livelihood (or at least a portion of it). If you film m/f, then your friend should have advised this person wasnt a female. This isnt a matter of being polite, its a matter of having to pay the participating model for the job, when in fact they werent able to do what you were paying them for (which is be a tickled female in bondage).

I am friends with many a producer and director of material of several genres, and I commend you on making the best of the situation. I have had friends tell me about shoots for an adult movie for say, a movie with the theme of african american women with nicely rounded backends 😉 . And there are times when they are sent someone from an agency that frankly, has no ass...not big enough for a movie titled "Riding the Bedonkadonk," which isnt a real title, before anyone looks for it. So they find that they have to use them; studios and male talent do cost money. You have to work with what you get sometimes. From that point of view, you did the professional thing as well.

On a personal level, it was very cool of you to treat that person with the respect you did, and even went above and beyond. As the producer, you had the right to say, "I think your a nice person, but honestly, you were misrepresented." The model could only be mad at her friend for not telling you first. People think filming porn and fetish is all fun and games. Its not; it involves real people with real audiences and most importantly, real fucking time that costs real fucking money.

Tiny story....my pops used to go to flea markets and adult stores, and buy porn on cheap (discount bins and boxed collections of peoples shit). He used to go on this hunting trip every year and stay for a week, and there was no tv, so everyone would hunt during the day and hangout at night. And in typical male fashion throw in the tapes and get drunk, talk shit, etc. Well, one time my dad had bought this collection and didnt scan the titles before he took it with him on the trip. In the collection was a she-male line vid. One of his buddies threw it in "for laughs" as my father quoted the guy as saying. Dad said that he couldnt get his buddies to stop watching that one video all week....blew his mind. Sometimes, you dont even know that your audience is right there in your face.

The moral of the story: post the clip for purchase and advertise the hell out of it. Once its up let me know and I will tell some of my friends about it as well. It may become one of your best sellers.

I say what the hell, post it. Either in the store or just on a site somewhere.

Meredith certainly should have told you before you scheduled the shoot with Sheila.

Now that the video is made, you should just advertise it honestly.

I dont blame you for being uncomfortable most straight guys would be. There is sort of a male/ female disconnect when it comes to how women see men who are transgender or post op or transexual and how men see them. That said your female model friend should have told you upfront. But since you already shot the vid and as this person is in actual fact I guess at least an "honorary female", well there may indeed be a market for that and yes id post it. Just make sure your honest with your designation.

I basically have the same opinion as most people here. Although if I were you I'd phone Meredith and tell her you'll no longer do business with her. I don't know whether you were going to anyway, but it just lets her know there's consequences for dishonesty.

Well congratulations for handling the situation better than I probably would have done, especially if I was supposed to be the ler. I consider myself open minded in almost all respects but the whole transgender issue is one I really have trouble getting my head around. I guess I just can't empathize with it.

It is your friend's attitude that is at fault though. She assumes that as the situation doesn't make her uncomfortable it shouldn't make anyone else uncomfortable either. Putting you on the spot like that, where your only options are to follow through with the shoot or make a scene and offend someone, was not appropriate.

She was as guilty of intolerance to your (possible) views as undoubtedly others are intolerant to her friend.

Another thing is that she could've gotten her friend very very hurt. Gay panic is a real thing unfortunatly and if you weren't the kind of guy you were, shelia could've gotten killed.

Just my 2 cents

Meredith is the one at fault for creating the entire situation.

Period.

End of story.

Personally, I would no longer do business with her. Who knows what other shinanigans she will try to pull?

I would agree that what Meredith did was wrong. While i do understand what she means when she talks about her friend being treated as a female, the fact was that this was a business meeting, not a casual introduction of friends at a bar.

If i were you, i would take a moment to explain to Meredith your expectations for such events in further situations. Hopefully she will be as understand and as adult as you turned out to be when handling the situation. You deffinitly get points for that. Very cool.

You handled the situation like a pro and a gentleman, so kudos to you.

But let me slam on some brakes here, so people lay off Meredith.
I doubt she did it with malicious intent, so everyone relax. She knows this guy, and he makes tickle videos. "Wow, he must be pretty open and tolerant toward sexual things.." She is friends with this transvestite, so she's comfortable around him, she sees this guy making tickle videos, she innocently thinks "Maybe he could work with my friend here..."
Yes, she should have mentioned that he was a transvestite, but oh well, she didn't. How many people have gay friends, and before introducing them to people, you make it a point to tell them "This guy/girl's gay, alright!"
If you jump all over her because she sent you a transvestite, and that's just weird, I'm guarantee she will look at you and say ".....and you shoot tickle videos, who's the freak?"

Don't forget, a crap load of people think we're all weird, perverted freaks, also. That's why, while I may be turned off by transvestites, gay people, or any fetish which I'm not interested in, I can't really diss them because here I am on a tickling forum asing for pantyhose tickling!

I do agree that Meredith shouldn't be branded with a hot iron or anything, but personally i see a notable difference between introducing a person and not meantioning they are gay to passing off a man as a women.

I think of it like this. If a friend set me up on a blind date with one of her friends, and it turned out to be a transvestite, but she didn't meantion it because "They should be treated like a women because they want to be one and view themsevles as one", that just wouldn't cut it. If the expectation that the women will indeed be a women, which in both my case and in the case of this director most obviously was, then the odus falls on Meredith. Being openminded is great, and her accepting her friend as a full female is fine too, but in a case like this, common sense should have prevailed.

Frankly, i think she should feel very lucky and VERY grateful that this guy handled it as well as he did. Their are deffinitly others out their who would have kicked both of them out on their asses and never called Meredith again for waisting their time and moneywith a stunt like that.

But, like i said, this guy handled it very cooly.

You're making this into a lot bigger deal than it really is.

You didn't do anything sexual, there was no erotic tickling. I am sure it was kind of unsettling, but there is a point where you grow past that and accept the person. Gender is no longer necessarily just about physicality...much of it has to do with psychology.

Thank you all for your kind words. If Meredith was just another model, it would be easy to cease contact with her, as there are many models I only work with once, that's just business. Unfortunately, I've known Meredith since we were in high school. About 9 years now. While she's a wonderful friend, she sometimes has the social graces of a cactus. I don't think she realizes that although I've always been into tickling on many different levels, I am running a business where real money is on the line. While many aspects of shooting tickling videos are freakin awesome, it's still a business and has it's share of headaches, like any other job. I will obviously continue to be Merediths friend, but she seriously needs to get a clue. I've decided not to post the clip of Sheila. Upon reviewing it I just don't really think it fits in with any og the videos I've shot thus far. It's going to go into the vault of material I don't end up using. Other material in the vault includes girls who just weren't ticklish. Girls whose reactions were just... meh. Maybe one day I'll post some videos from the vault. Anything out of the vault I will post for free over on ticklingtv. Thanks again for all the kind words folks 🙂
