I just read the list of Forbes "Most Miserable US Cities". The city at the top of their list is Detroit, which probably not surprisingly, is also the most dangerous city in America. New York City ranks
10th on the most miserable cities list. I was a bit surprised that Philadelphia didnt make the list. I know that Philadelphia is a very dangerous city. Jim Gardner is always reporting one murder after the next.

The US "Happiest City" Napa, CA. Nothing surprising about that either. It's beautiful country there, and they have all that wine to keep the residents and tourists "Happy", LOL.
 
Detroit, center of the unionized auto industry. Why am I not surprised? 😛
 
Chicago was number 4. Sounds about right. Glad I left that shithole.
 
In the eight months since I've returned to NY, the worst things I can see are the high cost of living (NY has always been known for that), and the rising transit fares. We get to pay another quarter to ride the subways and buses next week, yippee, as if $2.25 for a ride wasnt high enough already. The tolls on the bridges and tunnels are also outrageous.
