Ok, one more, then I have to actually clean the house (ugh)

I just finished watching Bruce Almighty and LOVED it.
What are your faves, friends?

XOXO

Laugh AND cry, hmmmmmm?

Actually, the only one I can think of right now, probably because I just saw it a few days ago, is Scrooged. I usually laugh through the whole thing, then he gets to "The Speech", and by the time Buster Poindexter is asking Karen Allen "Which floor?", I've already welled up, and, C'mon now, anyone who's seen it, when the little boy, Kevin, I think, finaly speaks after five years and says "God bless us, every one", no one else lets a tear or two spill?

To Steph, there's another thread in here somewhere called "The saddest movie you've ever seen" or "Films that made you cry" or something like that. Interesting to check out.

Oops, I missed it! Thanx honey. Well, this was mostly funny and I'm not really Jim Carrey fan but I do like his comedy and thought it was cute.

XOXO

One of my favorites Steph...."Steel Magnolias".

Also, "Tommy Boy" is a comedy...but the part where Tommy's dad suddenly dies brings tears to my eyes (I lost my mom very suddenly when I was 16...so that hits too close to home 🙁

There have been a few episodes of HBO's "Six Feet Under" that have made me both laugh and cry... its a great show... kinda corny at times, but enjoyable.

That one movie with John Travolta where he has a brain tumor that makes him in credibly smart and at the end he dies...DAMN i cant remember the name of the movie

I'll have to say...Jack Frost. The cute version, not the version with the psycotic snowman. I'm talking about the version in which the little kids dead dad is reborn as a snowman. Right at the end, when he leaves them he starts singing that 'Everytime we say goodbye' song in front of his wife and kid, the tears were just flowing! Seriously!

More recently....The lord of the rings-the return of the king. Yup, its the Gray Havens scene at the end. I didnt cry the first time I saw it, but I did the second time. cant think why. I mean, its a very sad scene and all, but WHY didnt I cry the first time?

Seeing the Catwoman trailer made me cry...CAUSE THEY F***ED UP ONE OF THE GREATEST CHARACTERS IN THE DC UNIVERSE (the ONLY Catwoman is Selina Kyle...what's this Patience Price crap, Warner Bros?!), AND MIGHT HURT WHAT LOOKS LIKE A GOOD MOVIE, "BATMAN BEGINS" 😡 😡

Last movie I saw that made me laugh was Bruce Almighty.

Power Rangers: The Movie (stop laughing..grr..) had some funny moments like when they're walking around a bunch of dinosaur bones.

"Welcome..to Jurassic Park!" "Verry funny, Adam."

Or when they first meet Ivan Ooze

"We're the Power Rangers!"
"The Power Rangers?! Whoooowee!..Whar's mah auotgraph book?!" (I don't think Ooze was too impressed with his opponents, but..I could be wrong. lol)😛

Ya know Per...

I didn't see Tommy Boy but the graveyard scene from Steel Magnolias even made my sister cry and she's about as sensitive as Jack
the Ripper 😀 I LOVED that movie!
PS--So sorry to hear about your mom honey...

XOXO

Lost In Translation....

One of the best movies... ever...

It shows the quirky, dysfunctional side of Japan while you sympathize with Bill Murray's and Scarlett Johansson's strange but powerful friendship. I won't give away the ending, but you'll probably get teary at the emotional existentialism of the movie's final moments.

As sensitive as Jack The Ripper? I have a brother who's charmimg like the that!

I got choked up during "The Rookie" when Dennis Quaid' character was told that he was being sent to the Major Leagues with some of the younger players. For anyone who hasn't seen "The Rookie," it's a great movie.

This was a great film! It didn't really make me weepy, but it was a fantastic movie. I still say Bill Murray got ROBBED at the oscars :sowrong:

The Wizard of Oz...when she's saying goodbye to everyone. Gets me every time:sadcry:

The Sean Man

Old Yeller!!!

That classic movie always gets me teary eyed!!

I also cried the first time seeing Charolette's Web!!
And I think because of THAT first experience I always get a bit choked up when seeing Charolettes Web now!!

Gigli...i laughed at the awfulness of it, then cried over the money I spent to rent it🙂

The Sean Man
