Multi-posting

Recently the number of members who posted the same content in several sections has increased considerably.

Please refrain from multi-posting. It will not win you any friends, and we are forced to delete all but one of your postings.

If you're unsure where to put your message (I'm in doubt myself sometimes), feel free to ask us. It's no problem at all if you pick the wrong one, we will move it properly. But posting it in several sections is definitely the wrong way.

What is multi-posting exactly?
I started the Celebrity Tickling Tournament and I posted that I did in the Ticklish Celebrities section because it falls into that catagory also, is that what you mean?

That, in fact, would qualify. Another common one is to post a Personal ad in a region, and in the "general" area used by folks in countries not getting many posts. Following this, posting a "wanna" in the Gatherings section (as such are "wannas" when not in the Personals section) is an unnecessary duplication that irritates those of us that take personal time to moderate this place.

Add to that, then, the folks that mention that they made such a post in the Discussions section, and you have excess. It was already too much the moment you post TWICE for the exact same topic.

This is, however, different than posting a Personal, then posting about wanting to join a Gathering, then discussion tickling the Discussion area. It's when the SAME topic, with the SAME content, is posted everywhere. It's too close to SPAM. Wasn't there enought OUTSIDE of the TMF? Why start it here.

You won't get into trouble for a minor misunderstanding, TicklingIsLife. There were others posting identical texts (like advertising their vids on ebay) in six or seven sections at the same time, and there were people intruding with ads for their website into several completely unrelated discussion points. We're just trying to implement some kind of order to make participating in the TMF interesting for all tickle-fans, without all the annoying pop-ups and spam other websites are infested with. So please, support us by simply following a few basic rules, and enjoy the TMF. 😉

I started the Celebrity Tickling Tournament, so I posted that I started it in the Discussion(so people can talk about it), Polls(thats where its taking place), and Ticklish Celebrities(it is called the Celebrity Tickling Tournament). Now would that be multi-posting, I just did it in 3 sections.

oddly, your case really doesn't count as a bad thing, 'cause you're using each area appropriately. It's folks doin' the same text in multiple groups that tends to be overkill. The closest you come is in posting to Discussions *and* Celebrity tickling, but only in that it diffuses your audience and thus your replies.

As the mods for these areas don't seem to have a problem, it's no issue. When they do, you'll know.
