Munch Suggestions?

Hi guys, call me Demi. So I'm trying to start up munches for the Dallas Texas area, with mixed results. I think there's an interest, but I think people are either shy to show up, or maybe just lose interest. If you were trying to start something up (or if you have already) what sort of things would you do to gain interest? Or maybe break the ice?

I've hosted two munches in Austin that were years apart and tried to get others going with no results. Like we talked about Saturday, for a lot of people going to that first munch is a big step. I just tried to emphasize how much fun they are and how its possible to come out on the other side with some new, real life friends in the community. Probably not very helpful advise but it's all I have at the moment.
