I was wondering what music festivals you have in America. I was watching a documentary about Woodstock and was surprised to learn that this is not an annual event. In the UK we have glastonbury annually, the Reading and Leeds Festivals, the V festival in staffordshire and chelmsford and many many more every summer across the country featuring the top bands of the day. I'm not talking about jazz music, folk music, country music or rubbish like that, but rather weekend festivals playing rock music, indie music and similar genres. I searched google but couldn't find much. I'm sure you must have loads of music festivals but which are the best???
Also, could anyone from New York comment on the music seen. With The Kllers, The Bravery, The Scissor Sisters (all from New York i think?) and more you guys must have some awesome music festivals planned this year?
Note, i'm sure jazz, folk and country music is good but its hardly edgy or cool, so that's why i call it rubbish. I love classical music but its not cool either.
