Music that gets me GOING!!!

On a friend's recommendation, I recently started to listen to this band. And oh boy, do I love it!

My favorite song by them is Hearts of Iron (shares the name with one of my favorites video games, what are the odds), but the one that really gets me GOING lately is called The Last Stand. It's really extraordinary and wonderfully cheering. Perfect for gathering motivation before a tough working day 😀

But above all, this song is probably the only one that's capable of making a staunch Atheist like me screaming THY WILL BE DONE and IN THE NAME OF GOD off the top of his lungs 😛 Which, you'll admit it, is quite a feat 😉

Nothern European power metal is characteristically upbeat and has a "cleaner" sound than the more raucous bands from the USA. It's definitely less "indie" and more polished than most metalheads go-to outfits, but it's hands down my favorite genre of music. I love Nightwish, Epica, Within Temptation, Sonata Arctica... If you liked Sabaton, you may enjoy those too 😉

Nothern European power metal is characteristically upbeat and has a "cleaner" sound than the more raucous bands from the USA. It's definitely less "indie" and more polished than most metalheads go-to outfits, but it's hands down my favorite genre of music. I love Nightwish, Epica, Within Temptation, Sonata Arctica... ^ I listened to some of Epica, and I'd say you're right about the "cleaner" sound. I'll check the rest soon. Meanwhile, this song from Dream Theater somewhat had that same "gets me going" effect on me. Some finds them hysterical, but I don't mind.

Thank you! I like Dream Theater I don't know what you think, they have kind of an 80's sound style to them. Reminds me of my childhood, haha

And I'm jealous: I'd like to be able to embed videos like you did, so people would not have to leave the TMF to watch the clips I post links to. Sadly, I get an error message every time I do. I suspect this has something to do with me using a VPN to access Youtube, as I am living in PRC

^ Haha... Call it sissy if you like but this got me going too that I played it sometime repeatedly. Reminds me of being like a 14 year-old girl. XD
