My cameo (my first picture i drew)

hope you like it, it's my cameo i decided to draw. i liked the smoking cigar look, looks cool, and the feather tipped cane is cool, makes for great tickles. took me a few hours to complete. i know it looks prety bad, but i have virtually no talent as an artist. i'm pretty bad with drawing hands too, i could've done a little better on the hands, but my hands were cramping at that point.
anyway, enjoy.

didn't have the time or tools to color it yet, but i will later.

i must have drawn lightly and erased alot, since it seems my scanner didn't pick it up that well.

Now, you're saying this is the absolute first picture you've ever drawn or finished in your life?

If thats the case, its a really good job. Part of what makes for a good artist is their natural ability to draw things as they are or draw them from the imagination or mind's eye with no reference. That ability to draw what they see or imagine, whether its real or not.

Considering you did this with no previous experience to back it up, its an outstanding effort and you really should be proud of what you've done here. :happy:

Its a first step into a larger world, and hopefully the first of many. One day you'll look back at this picture and smile. Its definitely something to never forget.

ya, i figured the eye patch was cool, and went with my avatar. i'm planning on finishing it today, darkening it, and coloring. the most problem i have with drawing is hands, and sometimes feet. not to mention, i get better at drawing a light figure, to give me a sense of the proportions, and yes, i think i did pretty well, since i had no reference materials, especially the chair, which was tricky for the 3d parts of it. also the fact that i'm an addictive eraser, so i probably erased the hands 20 times before i got them so-so.

to be exact, this isn't my first drawing. in kintergarten, i drew a pic of the groundhog seeing his shadow, which to this daw was my best work, i was soooo proud of it... till my little sister tore it to shreds one day. i once drew a nice pic of jill valentine from resident evil tickled, and drew it to where she could get upperbody tickled, and not have to draw her hands, and i drew her soles getting tickled. after i finish my cameo, i might draw a remake of that one, i was pretty proud of it.
