My First and Last Post!

To all of you who wonder why I never post, here is my first and last post on TMF. I have come to the decision to leave the TMF boards over rumors that I am man and not a woman and due to some trouble in the chatroom with one indivdual who did not understand the word NO. She is a very lonely and confused young woman and I did not want to speak with her anymore.
I do not like being the center of attention and I do not like being gossiped about.
Good luck to all of you and have wonderful and safe and happy lives.

I don't think it helps your case that you don't share any information about yourself in your profile. Granted, that's up to the individual, but in a place like this where people with common interests can come together, you pretty much set yourself up for suspicion.

Penny. I tend to think people are who they say they are. Maybe that's a bit naive, but I have no reason to doubt anyones validity. You say you're female, that's good enough for me. It is your decision, but don't let one or two suspicious malcontents chase you off, or prevent you from doing as you wish here (Within the rules). Whatever you decide, though, best of luck to you.

I feel bad for Penny because she is obviously upset. She's probably new to the internet and had never been burned before. I remember my first scorching back in the mid nineties. I was like "OMG, what did I do to make this person hate me?!" Then you realize it's just the way it is, and you don't let it bother you. Hopefully Penny will develop her flame-retardent outer shell and not be affected by such things.

Miraculous as it is, I actually agree with Drew on this one. 😉

When I first started hitting the chat rooms and IMing with folks, there were many occassions where I stepped back and said "What the hell was that about?" or "Put that one on the A**hole list." There was even a time when I stepped back and stopped chatting for a bit because of a stalker. The bottom line for me was that I liked tickling and wanted to be free to discuss it with others. So, I simply ignored the various idiots as they came along and moved on.

Penny will either be back or not. That's her choice to make. She'll be welcomed or missed...or some of both. Again, her choice. Either way, I wish her the best.

I don't blame you for being upset either Penny. I remember reading a post a couple months or so ago, about how almost all the "supposed" lesbians on this forum were actually men. I know it happens, but it really ticked me off. I never try to date anyone on here anyhow, but I would also not make the effort in future to meet anyone after that comment and others I have had the displeasure of reading. Still, there are good people here as well as bad, they just aren't as noticeable because they're not so inflammatory in their statements.
It was really disheartening though to think that I can't talk about my preference without being accused of lying about my gender. I'm still afraid to say anything or go into the chat room, and I don't blame you for being peeved. Hope that you stay though, we can always use more good people.
PS..I believe you're a lady lol
