Today I took my first trip to Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. Despite rooting for the "enemy", as I do when the Braves are in town, and the fact that Jim Thome and David Bell homers dampened my day, to make the score Phillies 4, and Braves 1, Citizens is an awesome place! New, clean, full of many things to do, in a beautiful setting, with great seating, the place is amazing. Living in Lancaster, PA, home of the inexpensive buffet, the food prices at Citizens make the average person want to scream. All I had for lunch was two pieces of pizza and a small coke, and the bill came to $10.50! For someone who is used to eating a several course chinese lunch in Lancaster for half that, it seemed like an astronomical price to me. What the heck, it's only once a year. Overall, although I was disappointed that my team lost, I had a good time in my first ball game there. I look forward to many more great visits to Citizens, and hopefully my team will beat the Phillies for me when I go next year.

Yeah, the consessionaire that finagles a food or beer contract at a big sports arena has bought himself a goldmine. Captive audience, charge any price just short of out-and-out robbery, and customers are just walking wallets so who cares about customer service.

I'm happy for you that you had fun at Citizens Bank Park but I no longer support bigtime $ports. I'll watch it on the tube but won't hassle with the traffic, parking, and $8 hotdogs.

yea i was there for the first time during the dodgers series. got to see back to back to back hrs by the phils.

instead of war i feel all concesions should be subsidized and sports should be free.

Up with baseball, down with imperialism
