Hello all T.M.F.er's
I did a post a few days ago about a friend I have .This lady is a great singer / piano player. We will call her Mary and she has her bachelor's degree in clinical psychology and her master's in behavioral science,I think I got this right.I think she would find this forum fascinating, but I don't know how to bring her in with out going into detail about me.We have talked a little about fetishes in fun talk, like I said Mary is a musician to and in that regard we are all a little left of center.Any idea's on how to bring Mary into the forum?I want to do this because I think it would be so cool. Now I have a few questions...1 do you believe tickling is a forum of torture...2 do you think someone who likes to tickle another is sadistic...3 do you believe someone who like's to get tickled is a masochist...4 do you think tickling falls under the category of s/m...5 what is it about someone's laughter that turns you on... 6 how old were you when you knew you liked tickling and 7 does tickling interfere with normal sexual behavior.

The Musician

1 It certainly has that potential.
2 Not nessesarily
3 I suppose, but I don't consider myself one.
4 A mild form, although I would consider extreme tickling not so mild.
5 I don't know, really, but I never get tired of it.
6 14
7 I haven't noticed any difference.
These answers probably aren't of much help, but there are still so many "grey areas". What is uncomfortable and wrong for one, is perfectly acceptable for another. Only you can gauge how your friend will react. Good luck!

If you've already discussed tickling with her, then just tell her about this page and encourage her to visit, but ultimately let it be up to her whether she wants to come or not.
1. Whether or not tickling is a form of torture depends on the intent and the duration. If a person tickles someone that they know doesn't enjoy it for the purpose of causing them anguish, then yes. Also, if a person tickles someone beyond their acceptable limit without their consent, then that probably qualifies.
2. No, it just makes them the active, dominant force, or the yang half; the exception being if they intend to torture, and that is a tenuous exception if they are partnered with a masochist.
3. No, they are just the passive, submissive force, or the yin half; exception being if they enjoy being tickled beyond their comfort limit, then yes.
4. No, unless carried into the stage of anguish willfully by both partners. Otherwise its just a different sort of play.
5. Nothing really turns me on, but I do greatly enjoy hearing a person laughing and giggling, even if it's forced out of them via tickles. Laughter is comforting to me, it suggests playful behavior and happiness.
6. 10
7. For some people it probably does interfere, for others it probably compliments it. It does neither for me since I have no interest in sexual intercourse anyway.

I read an artickle once that said that a tickler was a "guilty Sadist" they want to inflict pain on others but we're not really hurting anyone since they're laughing....go figure

I'll answer your first four questions at once: NO, unless the tickling is non-consensual. In general, I don't think consensual tickling is actual torture, but that doesn't mean it doesn't FEEL like torture for the 'lee, because it often does, depending on how ticklish she/he is. S/M roleplay incorporating tickling is common, and in fact, many people identify themselves as doms, subs, or switches, but most of them aren't true sadists or masochists. And since tickling doesn't have to involve any S/M, I wouldn't say it's in the S/M category, even though it can be used in S/M scenarios.

Hearing women laugh turns me on because I think about tickling them when I hear it. 😉

I don't know when I started to like tickling, but it must've been at a young age; I really don't remember. And I didn't think of it as sexual until I got to my teens and realized that's what turned me on (among other things, of course).

As for your last question, that depends on what you mean by interference. Certainly there are people who are exclusively turned on by tickling. But they're in the minority, and most of us ticklephiles also like to have "normal" sex (with or without tickling, depending on the person's preference).

Musician, if you've already talked to Mary, and she's fine with it, please bring her to our forum! I'm sure we'd love to meet her. 😀

A few questions:

1 do you believe tickling is a forum of torture... It could be, but not when I'm involved.

2 do you think someone who likes to tickle another is sadistic... Once again, could be, but I don't like to cause discomfort. I'm only happy when my lee is having as much fun as I am.

3 do you believe someone who like's to get tickled is a masochist... Not necessarily. Generally a masochist is someone who believes they deserve to suffer.

4 do you think tickling falls under the category of s/m... Only in the broadest sense, and then only when you are trying to classify it as sexual behavior within very narrow parameters.

5 what is it about someone's laughter that turns you on... I haven't a clue, but in part it means they're having fun or I'm not turned on!

6 how old were you when you knew you liked tickling... I've been fascinated with it since childhood. It only took on a sexual connotation when I was about 16.

7 does tickling interfere with normal sexual behavior... Not mine (so far).

Personally, I don't believe in pigeon-holing behavior too much.
