My half-brother is now an amputee. :(

Long story made short, my half-brother from my father's previous marriage got a blood infection due to his work and ended up in emergency surgery. His mother had to make an emergency decision and to sum things up, my bro no longer has his left foot. This sucks! I'm mad at the construction company that employs my brother! This whole situation sucks! 🙁

Thanks everyone. He may be my half-bro but my sister and myself consider him a full-fledged blood-related member of our family. Here's update for all ya fine folks:

The construction company offered an utterly pitiful sum to settle. Needless to say, we all walked out of the meeting after giving their lawyers the finger. The civil trial is set and the company has already appealed for dismissal. The entirely family has pitched in for good quality lawyers that are itching to go at the scum bags who run that company. My bro's now on temporary living assistance and Medicaid and has an appointment for physical therapy and being set for a prosthetic. He was so greatful for the entire family's help that he burst into tears sobbing when we took him to dinner. Me and my sis stayed with him that night. We wanted to make sure he was okay. Fortunately he appears to be in a better state of mind. Come what may, we're all there for him! 😀
