Yeah, but watch it happen.

Sure, Suh is the better talent, but the Lions have got to start trying to get some protection for Stafford, who was used as a punching bag for defenses last year.

Truthfully, if the Lions select Suh or McCoy over Okung, it will be a complete shock. Everything I've read points to them taking Okung over Suh.

If Okung does go to the Lions, who in the hell will the Skins take? I guess they'd reach for another OL, but...

And no way does Spiller fall to #17. Niners will need to take him at 13 or risk the Hawks getting him.

As I see it, if the Lions take Okung, the Skins options will be:

Gerald McCoy - The Skins could actually take him, but since Shanahan is going to try and put his own offensive stamp on the team early, I doubt they would go Defense here.

Eric Berry - If the Skins DO decide to go Defense, this is who I believe they will take. Safety is also a need for them.

Brian Bulaga - This is probably who they would select since the Skins NEED to upgrade both of their tackle positions. McNabb is getting to old to be used as a tackling dummy again.

The Hawks could select Spiller at #14, but if they are unable to pick up Okung, Bulaga, or Williams at #6, They might forget about Spiller and pursue a guy like Charles Brown or Anthony Davis at that spot.

Suh is a better prospect however he doesn't play a real position of need for the Lions. If the Lions want to be successful they need to protect Stafford, he was beat up last season, Okung will do that.

Besides Suh's knees are suspect and all us Bears fans know what happens to a DT when his knees go....Tommie Harris.
