My picture...

Well here's the deal kids:

I have in my little stubby fingers two scanned pictures of me, your-friendly-neighborhood-toyou. In thses pictures I am tickling the underarms of a lady sitting in front of me. You can't see the tickling perse but from the llok on her face you can trust it was happening.

Here's the question: I was going to post these in the member's photo section (the faces of the innocent have been blocked, and you can only see the smile of the 'lee) but I have always been hesitant to have my face known. Yes, I'm paranoid! I did have my picture back onthe old tripod site. It was me with one of the celebrities listed. So have any of you been recognized after putting your picture up? There are 260+ of you and many know each other from gatherings and the like, but has anyone every found you out through the photos? I've tried tio figure how someone could "Accidentally" come across the pictures here...and I figure anyone that does probably was looking for something else to be here in the first place.

So I'd appreciate some feedback and I will take it under consideration until Friday, at which time I will either sned the photos in to be posted or announce that is is not going to happen.

Not a one

You also have to remember anyone browsing thru the member photos have got to be a like minded person as it is. Plus Im guessing the members photos doesn't get as many hits as other sections here do.
I work making deliveries to hospitals, and see lots and lots of people everyday. The chances of running into another TMF member are pretty slim. Besides, would it be an issue if anybody did recognize you?
That, plus the moderator is the one posting all the pictures, so the location always says upstate New York. Unless you live in upstate New York, i wouldn't worry about it.

Nope...never has happened, not that I'd worry about it overly much personally. I own my businesses and they're service industries, so it wouldn't impact me even if I wore the scarlet "T" for ticklphile on my forehead brazenly...lol. Feel free to come up to me if you see me on Long Island...we'll do lunch and talk tickling!

I've been told that my pic has done the rounds on net for whatever reasons. I certainly know of at least one person who's used it that isn't me. It doesn't bother me so much anymore, but I can see how others may be fearful of the prospect of recognition. Certainly, I was worried by it all too...I think I even made a topic like this one after I'd put my pic, voicing the same sort of concerns. I've been ok so far, lol. Just do what you feel comfortable with m8 🙂

Well, it has never happened to me and I really don't worry to much about it...never really have since day one. Like many others have said, if someone is viewing it then they must certainly be into what I am to find it here in the members section. But, my ex girlfriend who was my co-partner at the website we use to have, once walked into a local 7-11 late at night, and the the store clerk (who was a woman) asked her "Hey, aren't you that HotelTickle Girl?" So I guess it can happen. What worries me more is the local "computer nerd/self proclaimed internet genuis" person that you might know (you know, we all know someone like that---that one that sends you stupid jokes and fills up your mailbox, searches the web 24/7 and thinks that every program they have is "the best") decides to do a search on all your nicks, email addresses and so forth just so they can have knowledge of what you are up to. We have one like that in our town, but I make sure he doesn't know "too much" about me...the less info, the better...lol

I have the same fear, toyou. I even started a thread
about it a while back.

seems to me that if the member picture forum were
accessible, even viewable, only to members (like the chatroom is) then
paranoid people like you and me would feel a lot more
comfy about posting our pictures.

I won’t rehash all of the reasons I have for my paranoia but your and daddy’s posts kind of touched on the gist of them.

you can, of course, always email ( [email protected] ) those pictures to people... 😉

Well kids last Friday I sent the two pictures off to Myriad and they should pop up sometime in the near future!

The pics are just aboutr 10 years old at this point and time, but other than a few pounds and some more gray hair its me!

Solutions...

[1] Webcam

[2] Microphone and headset.

[3] Prepaid Cellular phone, use a bogus name on the account and pay cash. Honest, they don't mind.


You will be able to see the other person's general physical appearance and let them see yours. You will be able to hear the other person's voice (which I believe is a far more reliable indicator of personality than their face).

The advantages supporting all this are that you can use the TMF forums and/or chat room first to screen the person before getting "closer" to them.

Hey Toyou

Dont worry about it buddy....odds are nil to none. When I got married a few years back I posted a pic of me and my wife at the MousePad. Even if you do a Google of "Dajerx" or "Dajerx" in Images the pic isnt accessible. And no one has ever recognized me...
