My recycle bin...where did it go..?

I can't seem to find my recycle bin. I emptied it, and it vanished. I searched the entire desktop, but its nowhere to be found.
I don't care if I never see it again, because I can still delete stuff, but now how do I empty it?...

Also, if I could recover it, that would be cool. There's just a vacant space in my desktop that's haunting me...

Right click desktop, choose Properties, select Change Desktop Icons, add the Recycling Bin icon. Hit OK.

And in the future, you may want to make sure you click on "Empty Recycling Bin" and not "Delete."
