My take on a Wonder Woman movie...

This is an idea on how I would work the origin of Wonder Woman in a movie.

A terrorist group has attacked a major monument in the United States. On Thymiscira, the island home of the immortal amazons, Queen Hyppolia (Lynda Carter) and her sister/adviser Antiope (Cathy Lee Crosby) view the horrible incident in the enchanted waters of “The Well of Seeing”. After much discussion, with her sister, Hyppolia decides that it is time to send a champion, and ambassador, to mans world. Her mission, to aid them in the cause of justice and freedom.

The Queens daughter, Princess Diana,(Taylor Cole) asks to be the one to represent her people, but Hyppolia refuses, arguing that her place was home learning to lead her Amazon sisters. In truth, the Queen, is trying to protect her daughter, as she had aided the Allies during World War II,(W.W. #184, Oct. 2004), and knew how dangerous man’s world could be.

Diana is heartbroken at first, but then she learns that there will be contest between her Amazon sisters to determine
Who will become the ambassador to man’s world. In the traditional manner, ass the competitors would be wearing masks. By dawning a blonde wig the princess would have no problem sneaking into the games, for a chance to represent her people in America.

The day of the tournament, all contestant were broken up into 4 brackets. Each one would face tremendous challenges of a physical and intellectual nature. One by one Diana over comes each challenge, until on she and on other remains, Artimess (Angelina Jolie). The tall, natural blonde was the Thymiscara’s captain of the guard, and had been favoured to win. The Queen declares that the final event will be “Bullets & Bracelets”.

The Amazons would stand 50 feet apart from each other, with large stone targets behind them. The women would, in turn, shoot at a target, while the other tries to block the bullets with her Feminum bracelets. The gun being used had belonged to Diana Trevor,(the princess’ namesake) an American pilot who had landed on Thymiscira. The courageous woman had died fighting along side the Amazons as they fended of un-dead warrior that had escaped Hades’ realm of the Underworld(W.W. #1 1987).

The contest would end with a loud gasp from the those watching. With an expression of disbelief on her face, Artimess, stared at the broken piece of stone that had fallen to the ground The Princes approached her opponent, with a show sportsmanship, only to be struck by her enraged Amazon sister. The unexpected blow knocked Diana to the ground, causing her wig to fall from her head. For the second time that day the crowd of onlookers gasped. This time it was because the Princess had defied her mother.

Queen Hyppolia was about to express her Disappointment at her daughter disseat, when a bright light appeared before her. The voice of Athena, goddess of wisdom and war, could be heard by all in attendance. The goddess to the Amazon Queen not to be angry with her daughter, and that to send anyone other then the best to man’s world would only lead to failure. The Princess had proven herself the best woman for the job..

“Had Diana not defied you Artimess would have won this competition, and she care’s little for noble causes.” Stated the goddess, “Her ambition has corrupted her, and turned her poisoned her soul.” she continued, turning to the dishonoured warrior, “You will be sent to the one place on Thymiscira that the sun never touches, for the rest of your Immortal existence.” All, but Artimess, were silent as she began to fade from view. The woman’s face was red with rage, her green eyes glaring at the Daughter of her Queen, as she swore revenge.

The silence lingered for a few moments after Artimess had vanished. Then, slowly, the women in the arena began to chant Diana’s name. The Princess is told that once away from the island she would lose her immortality, and super strength. To maintain these gifts, she would be given several items. One would be her Feminum bracelets, the lasso of truth (made from the girdle of Gaea) another. She would wear the traditional garb of the Amazon ambassador, it’s indestructible material fashioned after the flag of her namesakes homeland. Perhaps the most important gift Diana would get was the Amazon belt of strength, which not only maintained her abilities, it would make her stronger and faster. Were the belt removed from her person, she would be like any other mortal woman in mans world.

“Heed my words daughter, and remember them,” advised Hyppolia, “Man’s world is full of corrupt people, both men and women alike.”

“Don’t worry mother, I will do you, my home, and my namesake proud.” replied the Princess as they embraced.

“I know you will,” the Queen said proudly, “you are my daughter."

I think it sounds alot like the origin from the live-action tv show (except for the attack on a terrorist monument...I don't think that was in the pilot episode). It had Diana arguing with her mom, disguising herself to get into the contest, winning, belt removed making her lose her powers, etc.

I kinda like the JL 'toon orgin (even though she's a little ignorant at first in the cartoon, having been raised to believe all guys are jerks..but that doesn't stop her from stealing the costume and going off to "man's world" to help fight the invading alien force with the rest of the heroes, despite her mother telling her not to).

I kinda thought the belt thing was a little goofy. For someone so fast, she got it ripped off alot. lol

Well I took it from...

I took my ideas from both the comic and the old show. They were actualy pretty close. The fact the Diana would think men are evil makes sence to me, because we either fallow our parents example or we strongly apose it. Because there are no natzi's arund I whent to the next best (or worst thing) Terrorist. The Artimess being banished set up for a sequil like Superman and Superman II, only better because Wonder Woman had boobs and superman doesn't LOL

Here's somemore...

When we left off Diana was leaving for the U.S. in he invisable jet...

Hundreds of miles away, just outside Washington D.C., Minister of Defence Steve Trevor Sr. (Lyle Wagner) has just been alerted to the attack. As the Korean war vet prepares to leave for a meeting with the president, he is interrupted by a knock at the door, he opens the door to see a marine standing proudly in the door. The two men saluted, and Minister turns to pick up his brief case. When he turns back he is shock to see the young man’s pistol pointed at him.

The former military man turned politician knocks the gun out of his attackers hand, only to receive a left cross the jaw. The traitor rushed for his gun, only to be tackled to the ground by a third man. The older man turned to see his son Steve jr. rolling on the floor with the villain of the moment. There was a gunshot, and for long moments nobody moved. A tear began to well-up in the older man’s eye, believing his son had been died saving him. As the older man got to his feet, he saw the two bodies stir, then watched as his son rolled the would be assassin off, and sat up.

Thinking the danger passed the father moved towards his son, only to hear the window behind him shatter. Several marine’s arrive to see the younger Trevor holding his dieing father in his arms. Looking up at the soldiers, screaming to them about the sniper, and demanding one of them call a medic. Moments later the man in a hospital, were he learns that his father has gone into a coma, and it is uncertain weather or not he will ever wake up.

“First the memorial, now an attack on my father, these guys aren’t screwing around” said Mitch White of the CIA

“Oh do you think so !” screams Steve to his fathers friend, “Why didn’t somebody know that this was going to happen, how does shit like that go down in this country, huh, Mr. CIA guy!” The two men stared at each other for what seems like an eternity, then Steve turns and walks away.

Once out on the street, Steve pulls out his cell phone and is about to call his sister when he hears a commotion coming from up the street. The angry man dashes off, hopping to fined trouble waiting. Soon Steve comes to the source of the noise, an pretty blonde woman screaming, while four thug are beating up her Afro-American boyfriend. With out thinking, or perhaps thinking of what his father would do, Steve jumps into the fray. At first he holds his own, the element of surprise his only ally. The fight takes an unforeseen twist when one of the hate mongers pulls out a switch blade. Mr. Trevor turns just in time to see the weapon, but is still grazed by it. The black man, manages to get to his feet and runs out into the street, yelling for help.

The plea for assistance does not fall on deaf ears, as Diana of Thymiscira hears it. The Amazon is not alone, she is in the company of Beverly Johnson (Debra Winger), whom she had defended from to mugger hours earlier. Ducking out of sight, Diana focuses her mined, and begins to spin herself in a counter-clockwise direction. There is a bright flash of light, and the booming sound of thunder. Then a red white and blue figure leaps into the air, landing next to the screaming couple.

“Who are you ?” asked the startled man. Diana, seeing the second man being beaten, jumped into the thick of things.

The first thug didn’t see her, and she easily through him out of on ally, and into a garbage bin in another across the street. When the second man turned to face her, he called the princess several offence words, causing the Amazon’s Grecian blood to boil. The skin head swung at her with his knife, which she blocked easily. Then, like his friend, he too was flung across the road into the same pin. Steve couldn’t believe his eye’s, as he was helped to his feet, not since a news broadcast from Metropolis had he seen anything like this. Soon the two more attackers could be heard screaming as they were launched like rockets, landing along side there accomplices across the street.

“I guess nobody ever taught you to fight fair.” said Diana, as she took hold of the Arian youth, “Why were you attacking this man ?” she asked lifting him off the ground by his shoulders.

“He’s a race traitor, just like that bitch over there!” exclaimed the skin head.

Diana looked over at the young woman, and her dark skinned companion, rage filling her face. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing. On Thymiscira nobody cared about the colour of a person’s skin, what kind of barbaric society was man’s world. Feelings of anger, contempt, and pity filled the Amazon’s heart as she looked into the face of this twisted person. With a look of disgust, the princess pitched her unworthy foe into the air, to land on his friends as they were trying to clime out of the bin. A loud clang could be heard as the lid slammed shut.

“Wait, who are you?” asked Steve, but to late, as his savoir leapt an amazing distance, “Well if Metropolis can have a Superman why can’t we have a Wonder Woman ?”

Less then an hour after it had happened, word of the newly arrived “superhero” had found it’s way to CNN, and anchor woman Paula Zhan (herself). According to the description Paula had received she was al together certain that Col. Trevor’s son hadn’t been drinking after the attack on his father. However she had no choice but to report on the scantly clad woman who could through grown men hundred of feet through the air. The only thing Paula hoped was that, if this hero existed, she could get an interview with her. That way she could be the one prove her hero, or (as she thought) a fraud.

“Everyone though Britney was such a sweet heart until she started dressing like a tramp.” Paula told her make-up girl, “From what I’ve heard, this ‘Wonder Woman’ already does, so it shouldn’t be hard to ruin her.” she continued staring into the grey/blue eyes of the tall brunet behind her, “Eh Miss Prince.”

“Please call me Diana, Miss Zhan.” the woman replied a sad look in her eyes, “I’m sure when the truth comes out, we’ll learn what the Wonder Woman is all about.”
