OK, I'll bite.
Florida has to be number one, they won a pretty entertaining national title game that involved the two best teams from the two best conferences in college football. I just don't see how Utah, 13-0, beat three ranked teams, playing in a tough conference themselves, don't deserve at least a share of the championship. What we all should be asking is who wins the plus one game, Florida or Utah?
What amazed me was the play of both defenses. Especially Florida's. Oklahoma's got a freakin' video game offense, putting up 60 some points in 5 straight games or something ridiculous like that, and Florida held them to 14.
Yeah, but look who Oklahoma's played to get those 60 points in those 5 games.......of COURSE it's going to make them look better. They got beat by Texas, and even OK STATE kept the scoring between 4-10 points until they completely gave up in the last 3 min of the game. So yeah, their defense still sucks until they play a team with a worse defense. I'm happy they lost. Hopefully the rankings next season will reflect that.

Thom Brennaman's mancrush on Tim Tebow was very disturbing
Esp since he will yet another stud ncaa qb who will slip into obscurity in any nfl program, esp detroit
Tebow may be the classiest athlete ever at any level.. i hope he goes back to school and tries to refine his passing skills.. i really really hope he goes steve young or rich gannon on the nfl and suceeds when no one thought he would
Not saying he isnt a nice guy
But then again, its pretty foolish when Thom goes defending Tebow at that unsportsmanlike conduct play "Thats prob the first bad thing he's ever done"
LOL... i know you werent saying he isnt a nice guy im just saying.. its hard to not root for this kid. i hope he does well in the nfl .. he would be a great face of the league and a great role model.. as apposed to people like pacman.. and larry johnson and to etc etc
Yes but he is not an A caliber passer
You cant run the option in nfl football and many "speed" qb's have been studs in ncaa to flop or not even be tested in nfl(eric crouch comes to mind)
Tebow is a real class act, and I have to admit I like him at the pro level for a lot of reasons. "Running QB's" and system quarterbacks aren't usually successes in the NFL but Tebow has a competitive fire in him that you can't teach. And if the right team gets a hold of him and can sit him or use him in certain packages like when he was a freshman at Florida, I think he could totally meld himself into a legit NFL QB.
Can anyone really saw Tebow can't be quarterback in a league in which Sage Rosenfels, Dan Orvlosky, and Ryan Fitzpatrick saw time this year?
I would like to see Tebow succeed just because he seems to be a really nice guy and he does have talent. I don't know why everyone is down on this guy as a starting QB at the next level. The guy is a proven winner and he has a completion percentage of over 65% for his career. I do get tired of the Steve Young comparisions just because he is a lefty and he runs. If anything he reminds me a lot of Vince Young because he is a guy who just seems to know how to win. I'm sure he will be playing in the NFL sometime and I would guess as a QB, but I could see him trying out as a TE or a HB/FB. I don't know if he could be a halfback though because he just doesn't seem to have the speed necessary. I hope he succeeds though because he seems to be a talented kid who is not too full of himself.
