Took this shot by the pool while on vacation on Ryloth. Word of advice - Twi'leks are almost universally friendly, but if you don't speak Twi'lek and you're not sure if they speak Basic - be EXTRA careful what activities you sign up for. They strive to please.

Is it just me, or is every Female Twi'lek a *****?

I did some quick research - it seems that due to their culture and economic structure most Twi'lek females are in fact indentured servants specializing in various pleasuring arts. Notable exceptions include Aayla Secura and Daeshara'Cor, Twi'lek females who are not only not *****s, but fully trained Jedi Knights. Yes, I have more time on my hands than usual this week.

First off, if you don't understand Twi'lek, most speak either Aurebesh or Huttese (the second most wide-spread language besides Aurabesh).

And Spooky's right. Twi'lek society finds its females stuck in our version of the '50's with a Gorean twist. It is thier duty to please thier men on Ryloth, and that habit has carried over into the rest of the galaxy. Not every single Twi-lek female is subservient, but most are, due to millenia of social structure.

On a side note, a female Twi'lek Jedi is highly sought after for her ability to infiltrate. The concept of subservient females is so strong throughout the galaxy that most beings instantly discard thier prescence as no threat.

They don't ALL become submissive servants, however. There is a portion of thier society, a caste if you will, that become "professional companions", running thier own lives to a point, but within the context of thier position. It goes back to arts they are trained in as part of thier society.
