With the NBA season having been scheduled to start regular season play this week, and games having already been cancelled, I thought I would start a poll asking when people think the NBA lockout will be settled. I'll post the poll.

NBA LockOut-Will It Be Settled, And When?

Unfortunately, my vote for this poll is that the lockout will not be settled this year, and, like hockey did in 2004-2005, the whole season will be cancelled.
I want to think differently, but, neither side seems to want to move at all. They dont care about the fans, or the lost revenue for the concessionaires, etc. All they seem to care about is winning the point for the millionaire players, and billionaire owners.
I think they will end up cancelling the whole season, and the lockout will be settled sometime next summer.
Hopefully I'm wrong, but I just dont see much hope with this.

I agree I very much doubt an NBA season will be played this year. If everyone is saying they won't even consider a 50-50 split then the offers will only get worse as more time is lost. Its funny really, the players say they want to play yet refuse to take a pay cut? I guess feeding their family's on Millions of dollars isn't enough for them. I really don't feel sorry for either group both are to blame and maybe a lost season is what both sides need to wake up and face reality once they don't get all that big money they once were.
