Man...where are the basketball fans around here???

Anyhow...big BLAZER fan here...I think they might make a playoff run. Wish they would have dealt for Vince Carter. To me, that would be all they need to add with Zack Randolf and Brandon Roy. Oh, the future would look so good then adding a veteran into the lineup!

peace out,
daddy

Mavericks/Bulls fan here.

Mavs have the championship this year IMO. Bulls just a few pieces away.

They've looked good the last two games but I don't think the playoffs are an option. There are too many good teams in the west. Next year could be a different story though.

Well...one can only hope. Tonight though reinforced your statement. Here they beat the Jazz, then beat the Lakers then they lose to the Memphis Grizzlies at HOME tonight. This should have been a lock down win. Yes...only a one point loss, but the Grizzlies dominated most of the game at the crib.

Ya know, I was spoiled for that 20+ years they made the playoffs...now it's like back in 1975 all over again! I do see hope though. They do need a leader out there. To me Zach is not it. I am hoping Brandon can develop into that and I would like to see them add a veteran to the lineup for experience. Carter would have been perfect.

Blazer fan since day 1...1970. Red and Black forever here!

peace out,
daddy

Big Suns fan here; hopefully this is the year they get past Dallas and win it all.

On the subject of the Blazers, is Miles still with them? I haven't seen him play this season; IMO, it'd be nice if they've cut him or at least put him at the end of their bench.

D. Miles is still with them. He had surgery and is done for the season.

At least they've improved compared to the last two years. They will win at least 30 games this year.

Living in the Detroit area I have live with teams in the "LEastern" conference. It doesn't matter who comes out of the East, it's the West's year this year.

The more I watch the Pistons, the more I dislike Flip Saunders...I hope Dallas or Phoenix win it this year.

can Dirk finish the job?

I like Dirk Nowitzki, but he and the Mavs have to really make up for that embarrassing, unacceptable loss, on their home court, in the NBA finals....

Duane Wade and the Heat showed up to play, and Dallas must have been planning their championship parade, or thinking about something else....Miami kicked in Mark Cuban's door and smashed all of his furniture in his house while he and his team just sat there and watched....

The Mavs have to show that they can finish a team when they have them down....ESPECIALLY on home court....

Don't worry, they will show you this year. =P (I hope)

Embarrassingly, I am a Hawks fan. I dont really follow them with as much passion as I do my beloved Braves, but I've liked them for 20 years, and used to stay home to watch their playoff games in the 80s and 90s. I had hoped they would be better this year, and finally make a playoff run, after not being there since 1999, but it didnt happen. Hopefully next year. They are a very young team, and one of these yrs, they are going to snare those 30 some odd victories, needed to grab the eighth spot in the weak Eastern Conference.

Anyone see that they suspended Kobe a few days ago for hitting someone again? What do you guys think about it? The first time he did it I felt that he shouldn't have been suspended. I don't like Kobe but it looked like it was truly an accident. This time however, I'm glad they suspended him and I hope they continue to do so if it keeps happening. I don't care if it's his natural motion or not, he needs to keep it under control.

Ill tell you why I think the suspension is B S.......

How long has Kobe been in the league now, 10 or 11 years?......You mean to tell me that ONE MONTH AGO is the first time in Kobe's carreer that the league officials saw Kobe make that move? Why was it not a suspendable offense last year, or 2 years ago, or 5 years ago, when Kobe made the same motion? So for the last two months, Kobe is NOW making an NBA violating move worthy of suspension, and the first offense wasn't even ruled a foul by any of the refs on the court at the time of the play in question against San Antonio? Shaq O'Neal hammers anyone unlucky to be around him under the basket....the nature of the game is physical, and guys get whacked all the time in basketball, and try to draw fouls by making contact...... and none of Kobe's suspendable plays were deemed to be intentional.....why not a hefty fine instead of suspension?.....just fine him the monetary equivalent of a games pay check?

I wish Kobe would push the issue....I wish he would make that move in every game, and make the league suspend him numerous times.....I already heard that multi game ticket holders in New York and Milwakee who bought tickets to take their kids to see Kobe play in his only game of the year at those venues are demanding refunds and threatening lawsuits......

If the league wants to punish Kobe, give him heavy and increasing penalty fines....but don't punish an entire basketball fan base in a city like New York by suspending the guy and preventing those basketball fans from seeing a competetive game with a NBA All Star who only comes to town once a year.....I would support a suspension of Kobe if his offense were deemed intentional....but anyone who plays basketball knows that moves like that, and much worse, are made in just about every game....

exactly what Jaba said. Kobe Bryant has been making that move ever since he became a starter for the Lakers. the part that pisses me off the most is the simple fact that the two guys who were hit by Kobe, DID NOT COMPLAIN about the hit. anyone remember Karl Malone's dropkicks or Reggie Miller diving into people to draw fouls. they were never suspended and they were intentional in their motions. Kobe is trying to draw a foul, and the referees in the respective moments did not call a foul and called one. they never called it flagrant, but the league still suspends Kobe. give me a damn break.

my Lakers are hurting. man, this Lakers team is a good team, but they are the type of team where they cant afford injuries. this team is designed for certain guys to be starters and certain guys to be role players. the starters are hurting, so the role players are doing something they normally cant do, which is be a starter. if the Lakers fail to make the playoffs or lose early, i will understand. this is a type of team that NEEDS EVERYONE.

Dallas SHOULD win this year, but why do i have a feeling they are going to choke again?

Hey Prime.....

You see Laker # 24 drop 65 points on the trailblazers?.....

So....the NBA, in it's "infinite brilliance", thinks that it is better to have Kobe sitting in a New York hotel room on a one game suspension, for a "foul" that the refs did not even call, rather than giving him a heavy monetary fine, and letting him play in the Lakers only scheduled game of the season at Madison Square Garden?

It doesn't even make sense from a business or marketing standpoint......

Hey, these are the same people who decided to screw with the game by changing the ball without consulting players; you expect sense from them?
🙁

Ha ha....... yeah, you're right......every player in the NBA had fingers bandaged up from that new basketball......I bet the "band aid" company made a fortune off the league......
