Need Help with "Rogue Squadron" for PC!!

I have a question for anyone who's familiar with the Star Wars game "Roque Squadron" for the PC.

How do you get access to flying the TIE fighter? I have the codes...for accessing all levels, all ships and the TIE...and the fighter appears on the screen as a selectable craft. However, when I go to the "docking bay" to select a ship, the TIE is nowhere to be seen. Anybody know how to do this?

I have not played this game in a very long time, but I seem to remember a similar problem with finding the Tie or Tie interceptor(I cant remember which craft). I beleive when I played it was tucked away in a corner of the docking bay. It was semi blocked by some of the rebel craft. I think I had to really look for it and do some funny controller maneuver to select it.

I know this probably isn't much help. I wish I could remember better.
I did have a hard time finding it though, I do remember that.

I think you have to have the Falcon selected, then press UP. The camera will swing behind the Falcon and show you the TIE. Somethin like that, dick around with it and it should come up...

Thanks, Biggles....that worked! I saw the ship lurking behind the Falcon, but I couldn't grab it. All I did was focus on the Faalcon, use the "up" on the mouse (which I use for control) and I had it.

hey Dave, how's it going with the game? I'm up to silver on all levels except 4, I scored gold on those ones. Got any favourite ships or scenes?

I got to the rank of "Major" recently. I finally got Gold on the Death Star run, which took me forever to figure out that you have to close your S-Foils and just speed through most of it in order to do it in under 2:45.

I got Gold on the first 3, the Gerrarrdi V city one, and the Rescue on Kessel. I have silver on the others, but there are a few I can't even get a bronze on. I take too long on the Kylle II bombing run (I always get lost in the canyons) and I can never see well enough on the Imperial construction yards to do it in any feasable amount of time. I have Silver on the Chandrilla level, but I can't find the bonus to get the Gold. Talloran I have to take my time on and improve my accuracy, which is the only thing keeping me from Gold...the same with the Prisons of Kessel and Jade Moon.

Mostly I just have fun with it. There's nothing like blowing crap up after a hard day at work to relieve tension. I like using the Falcon for the heavy mass-destruction levels, the A-Wing for the good dogfighting levels (The Nonnah, Chandrilla) and the X-wing for most else.😎

I try to do well in the medal systems of those games but... I'm like blowing stuff up and having fun more. I currently playing 'Jedi Starfighter' for PS2 and having a blast. I'm trying to complete all the objectives to unlock everthing in the game. I've unlocked 85% of the stuff. I recently unlocked a really cool mission were you fly as Jango Fett in 'Slave 1'. I'm working on unlocking 'Slave 1' to fly in any mission that and the 'Republic Gunship'.
