It seems I have lost another disk. The Zip drive just doesn't want to read certain disks. I think it has something to do with the autoplay feature. Only on disks that attempt to autoplay does it refuse to read. All others work just fine. In fact, the first one opened, and it was when I tried to create a folder that it froze up. SInce then, no disk has read from an autoplay. Problem is, I don't know how to shut that thing off. I was wondering if maybe one of you with more technical inclinations may be able to lend a hand?

I hate missing a post day. I like pleasing my "fans."

hmmm

Hmmmm... Zip Disks were always pretty dodgy, what operating system are you running?

often on windows machines you can prevent an autoplay event by holding down the shift key when you're inserting the disk, which works for CD's, flash drives etc... but I'm not so sure it will completely alleviate the problem by the sound of it.
