I'm looking for advice. I'm a 22 y/o man, I just graduated from college. My problem is I really want to be a christain, I just can't help but think, my tickling fetish (going to tickling websites) is holding me back. What do you think?

This looks alot like "flamebait", but what the hell...

I don't see why being a christian and going to tickling websites has to be mutually exclusive. I mean really, the puritan restraints on most sexuality in this country (USA) is completely bogus, ridiculous, ludicrous, absurd, and totally idiotic. If the biblical God didn't want us to react the way we do and have the *drives* that we do, he'd have wired us differently, and since, according to the Christian faith, He's perfect, infallable, etc etc, then obviously, we are wired correctly. So, don't sweat it. If the "lust of the flesh" dogmatic pitfall concerns you, then just find a tickling christian woman (there are a gazillion on this very site), and share it with her. Problem solved!

Cromwell and his cronies should be dug up and shot for creating this whole "anything fun must be sin" attitude which is still prevalent five centuries later. I bet there are many stories about Pilgrims and greased BB's.

Seriously, know yourself, release yourself, and you'll find yourself at a MUCH better spiritual place.

I'm not Christian, or even religious, but Tummydragon, your logic is flawed.

Obviously god wired us how he wanted to, but a religious argument would be that the urges are indeed evil, and it is up to us to overcome them. As a test of morality, faith, etc.

Like I said, I don't believe any of this. But that's the reason why very religious people are unlikely to accept your viewpoint.

Well, of course the logic is flawed to anyone who is "very religious", and of course he/she wouldn't accept *anything* which contradicts eons of guilt conditioning or some obscure biblical verse most likely taken out of context. That's the whole point. It's the conditioning that is the problem. Religion's purpose is to *control* through guilt and fear, not to edify. However, Spirituality is a different matter. That's between the individual and God, and while I'm certainly not God, I can't see how He could possibly care less if you tickle your wife/partner and become aroused.

If Christians weren't meant to have sexual/tickling drives/urges, there wouldn't be so many of them running around, and there wouldn't be any on the forum! ;-)

Tickling and sex simply are not evil. So, if the "urges" of the flesh are just too "guilty" to embrace, or, if someone really does believe it to be "sin", there's absolutely nothing wrong with finding and sharing that with a Christian partner, exclusively, monogamously, under the sanctity of marriage.

I guess it boils down to: if the individual feels/believes that tickling web sites are hindering his/her spirituality, then it's up to the individual to choose her/his path to travel. There will never be a consensus.

I just wanna say I didn't want any arguments to start because of this, I simply want to get opinions. I mean in a way I've learned 'clean' sites (no nudity), but still I get a dose occasionally of nudity and porn (accidently, but still). I just can't decide if what im doing is wrong or not.

I was eing serious, and you're starting to make fun of it. i'd rather you not say anything. I have a sense of humour, but thix isn't the topic t make jokes.

You wont get the answer here....It must come from within.

If you believe it is wrong then it IS wrong.

I was being serious

Me too, but only in a simple way. Religion to me means living your life to the fullest, because that's one of many ways to be religious is to be who you are. I like tickling and there's nothing I can do to change it, so it must be right for me.

I pity people who go around in life thinking that everything they do is wrong, they never get to experience many of the joys in life.

well

I've talked to many people who are into this that are also religious and they have asked me the same question...

First let me address that legal stuff is bogus, what's legal has nothing to do with morals or what's right or wrong, that's just politics.

I don't think there is anything wrong with seeking your natural desires, it is only natural and normal to satisify these things. It's a scientific fact. Now I'm not all that religious but I just would like to say that I don't think there is anything morally wrong by doing this, and I think you can still be a good Christian and enjoy your passions.

chill man its no biggy having a tickle fetish doesnt mean your less of a christian. I'm a christian too its all good.

Awesome!

Tummy Dragon,

I could not say the words better myself.
It does not make you any less of a Christian.
I strongly feel that as long as you do your
best to serve the Lord, please Him, and have
a personal relationship w God that is the major key!!

I do not feel that God looks down on you or me/ us
because we have tickling/sexual natural desires.
I feel that God truly understands more than we give
Him credit for. He knows what truly in our hearts
and loves us no matter what. As long as you keep
faithfully praying to God, spend time with him,
and tell him the desires of your heart..
everything will be great.

God created these special feelings that we feel in our hearts,
He created the electric tingles when you see someone you like,
He made us to feel such a ocean of feelings. I feel that if
God engraves a desire in your heart, it is individual and God
is more than ok, accepts that desire in your life. Bottom line
if God gives you a love for tickling...God knows it is a desire
he gave to you...a blessing.

I feel though what is best is that there are two
Christian people that want to find someone with
same tickling kink. They want the kink, yet they
want something else...they want a relationship..a partner
Someone to share special tickle experiences with, someone
to laugh with, and someone to be a companion..through
good times and bad.

I am not ashamed to admit I am strongly a ler.
I am a Christian woman and I have a boyfriend
that is strongly a lee. True tickle love can
happen...it is not impossible. God brought us
together and I am happy to say we have been
a couple for 2 years.

So tell the Lord the desires in your heart,
be faithful to serve the Lord, be ready to
wait for the blessings...be ready to seek for yourself.

The Lord will grant you the desires lie within your heart.

Best of luck to you, hope soon you find peace about your faith.
Hoped that this advice lightened your heart and made you smile.

Hello, jugner...

I posted a similar thread sometime last year and gained a lot of wisdom from our friends here.

If it helps--King David was a murderer, adulterer, and (bottom line) a sinner, same as me and you, but he is also known as a man after God's own heart. It's safe to say that as we are God's own creation that He knows where our desires lie, and where temptation will be at it's strongest. Wisdom and discernment lie in knowing the difference between the two. I admire your seeking His direction in dealing with this issue in your heart.

To be honest, the idea with tickling that I find most incongruent with Christianity is the motivation. As Christians, ideally, we are to think, act, etc. out of a motivation for others first. Personally, my motivation towards tickling is nothing but self-centered. I love to do it, and I love the feelings received from it. I can't honestly say that I'm engaging in this and I'm motivated out of other-centeredness. Does that make sense?

Now, saying that I think the danger comes when knowing that the motivation is 99% self-centered then what are the other factors that you're ready to justify/bend the rules to accomplish your goal of engaging in tickling? I think this is the gray area of where your question is coming from.

I also think that your honest exploration of this and seeking guidance will bring you closer to His will for you in this area; and that can only lead to more abundant life not only in regard to tickling, but in your entire life.

Peace to you, and I apologize for my somewhat cathartic response, but I hope it helps give you some context for your search.

😉 JP

It helped greatly, a wonderful opinion, and I completely understand. The king david rference was wodeful. I'm beggining to have a more clear picture, thank you.

First of all, to say that something is only illegal if you get caught is absurd. Such a statement means that if I murdered someone, it was legal as long as I don't get caught. Give me a break. All it means is that you got away with it. But going back to the original question: What biblical passage are you referring to that says God forbids tickling? There are many Christian denominations. Which are you that would forbid tickling? Don't answer that. My point is, many religions as well as many Christian denominations don't see anything wrong with it. If you are a member of a denomination that forbids it, then you have to decide if you are a loyal member of that religious sect or not. Which is more important to you? You cannot proclaim yourself a loyal member to anything and then flagrantly disregard their rules or beliefs. How many Catholics do you know that have gotten divorced? That's a big no no in their religion. Yet, they still think of themselves as good Catholics. Sorry. How do they justify doing something that their religion frowns on so much? Personally, I do not believe that God frowns on tickling. In fact, I think he gave us that as a pleasuable thing to enjoy. But if your religion says that it is wrong, and you proclaim yourself to be a loyal member, then good bye and good luck. I believe in God, but this has always been one of my biggest criticisms of religion. They all claim to be the true followers of God, but have so many different ideas of right and wrong. And we all know that everyone can't be right. I could go on forever on this topic, but I won't. Just do what you think is right in your heart.

Really, is that what it means? Whoda thunk it?

You do realize that it was an obviously humorous statement intented to elicit laughter and overall good feelings from the masses, right?

I would agree with most of the rest of your post, but geez, let a little laughter lighten up a thread sometimes too.

edit: TickleBunny, If I were still a Christian , I'd believe exactly the way you described in your post. Beautiful. I wish you and your partner the absolute most happiness life has to offer. If tickling creates happiness and fulfullment in a person, how could that possibly be *wrong* in the eyes of God? It simply can't be. I'm sure God must get a good laugh (afterall, He created humor) at how absurd some belief systems are.

I'm actually more agnostic at this point with tons of biblical knowledge from being raised Southern Baptist, studying theology in college, and then joining the ministry for years. I believed in what I did completely at the time, but, I can honestly say I've simply outgrown it. I would equate my situation to a child finally understanding that there is no Santa Claus. But that's just me. I do believe fully though, that Christianity and God were a stepping stone to a higher level of spirituality and positive essence.

A Jehovah witness friend of mine told me once that he believed all was hunky-dory with God as long as you indulge with your spouse.
