Need some advice

I need some advice. I've got a friend who im pretty sure enjoys being tickled but is still awkward about it, and not used to talking/thinking about it. How do I bring it up with them and possibly persuade them to try it properly? They have consented to being tickled before but only for 30 seconds or so, and they said they enjoyed some parts of it. Its not a sexual thing for them, which makes it easier I think.
Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm not sure of what advice to give you. However, for what ever it may be worth to you, I will tell you that I also feel very shy and reluctant to discuss my interest in tickling with anyone outside of the known tickling community...

Maybe you should just come out an ask..even doing it in a joking manner and then make sure you add on that you enjoy it that way it doesnt seem like your not giving up personal information....or you could even get online on this forum when they are around and let them accidently see it

Do either you or your friend have a competitive streak at all? You could make a game or challenge of it. Is there a friendly rivalry of any kind between you? For example, you like the Yankees and s/he likes the Red Sox. You can get a lot of mileage out of something like that.

Drew, I'm guessing that we're just dealing with the lack of a gender-neutral English pronoun here. 🙄

I'm confused too, though. Do you believe your friend is a closet tickling enthusiast, and you want to help him/her come out of his/her shell? Or are you the enthusiast, and want to get your not-really-into-tickling friend to let you tickle him/her? And if it's the latter, does he/she know about your fetish? I think these situations require very different approaches, so a little more context would help us help you.

First off, what makes you suspect that your friend is a tickling fan if he or she doesn't talk about it? I'm asking because, whatever the reason, if you bring it up with him or her you might then be able to just ask if this is something to explore. You can tell your friend that there are lots of people out there who enjoy this sort of thing, and even show them some selected websites (including this one).

The second thing to consider is, what is your own interest here? Are you looking for a play-partner, looking to tell your friend about something fun (like introducing him or her to a new restaurant 😉 ), or what?

This is some pretty useful advice. The idea of doing it in a joking way, or making it into a game could work very well. I'll have to think about it. In answer to your questions, I'm looking to help my friend maybe become more comfortable with exporing tickling or more open to being tickled, or both. And since its usually not a sexual thing for me anyway, I wouldn't describe it to them as a fetish anyway.
