Aha... so we should be all the same as you with your interests so we would not be 'geeks/nerds'. Listen Tobi has been called like that for the most of his life, but Tobi never regretted that fact, cause being smart, being interested into anime, being somewhat a goth person saved and helped a lots of people. You can't judge the book by its cover and by just pointing to the fact like that you lost Tobi's respect... and that is not something that happens every day.

I'm more of a dork than a nerd, I suppose. I am not really into any of the above-mentioned things(although I enjoy afew artists who have been labeled "goth"), and frankly, I am so out of the loop, I don't even know what "lore" is. :bald:

I've also noticed that most ticklephiles seem to be anime buffs (myself included), but never saw much need to "discuss" it. Maybe all the "cool kids" of tickle-land are out getting laid or wearing jockstraps and banging cheerleaders.

Hey hey, you are getting a little close to home there Senshi. I get laid, played football for six years, and bang cheerleaders. I am not a "nerd" but the opposite. I am a "jock" and workout and play sports but I embrace everyone. I have friends in all areas. So don't defend yourself into into insulting others senshi. I don't see a need to dicuss further.

BTW Timewarp Tobi can understand your fury, but be a better man than him... chill... go conquer the world or something. We can play with his mind any time we want without him knowing it... so why frustrate yourself?

I have noticed this confluence of interests on this board, but it's only grabbed my attention because every time anime, science fiction, video games or superheroes come up in a thread I have nothing to contribute because I don't know anything about any of that stuff.

I assume that it has less to do with the content of this board than the medium via which it's conducted; surely any computer discussion group is going to have a certain concentration of people who happen to share these other cultural interests, just by virtue of being on the internet.

Which is guess is what Karen was sayin'.

Of course, as the internet becomes even more pervasive than it already is, that tendency may decrease.
