Greetings folks,

After a long and arduous vetting process (continually interrupted by the demands of a life for those hard working folks at NEST Team), the Amnesiac photos from NEST 2010 are now ready for viewing.

The photos are only those photos determined as safe and acceptable according to the model release forms signed by attendees...anyone looking to get tickle porn outta this will be sorely disappointed.

Also, the photos will only be available to those who were IN attendance at NEST...sorry everybody else, but rules is rules. Privacy and all that.

For those who remember the drill from last year, the photos will be available at the same location on Photobucket, and accessible through the same means. Anyone needing verification will need to provide proof of their attendance via PM with me.

But as a consolation prize, here's a free safe photo for everyone...demotivational poster not included:

Have fun everyone!

I'm sure you did an excellent job of arranging the photos, Amn.

Then perhaps it would be better to notify "those *****" directly rather than the entire forum since it only pertains to "those *****". :hmm:

LOLLL

i couldn't agree more with tony. it's posts like this (the OP) that make folks shy away from being a part of the community and forum.

I don' really think that is the case. People might be offended, but there's no real need to be. Whether they chose not to attend, couldn't attend NEST for whatever reason, it's not in an attempt to say "Haha you couldn't go, so I am going to mock you by flaunting the fact that pictures are only shared privately!". I remember the brouhaha from Amn's thread last year. I made the active choice to not go in 2009, and I didn't go this year either, so it does not put me off that I am not welcome to see the NEST pictures. I'll wrap this up (before I end up writing an essay) by saying that anyone who didn't attend and thusly cannot see the majority of NEST pictures needs to lighten up.

Lurkers and newbies like their privacy too. There are people who attend NEST that simply don't want their pictures to be made public.

And this is an open forum. If people can bitch and moan about their lives on here, why can't a simple announcement be posted?

Why is there always someone who has to complain?

An announcement for pictures makes people shy away? Man oh man.

If the OP said something along the lines of " NEST pics are up and those who didn't go ha ha sucks to be you , you can't see the pictures na na na na " Then I could see your point Tony but over 100 people went to NEST * I think * taking the time to PM each and every one of them is a bit time consuming where as posting a simple announcement about it is the more prudent course of action .

That and I'd be amazed if Amnesiac could remember the name of every single person who attended NEST 2010.

A simple announcement in the gen. disc. is the easiest way to do it. Nothing to get upset or annoyed about.

I dunno Bad, when you see the title of a thread in the Gen Disc forum so enthusiasticly proclaiming:

NEST 2010 Photos are NOW READY!

And then read what I consider to be a rather glib statement like:

Also, the photos will only be available to those ***** were IN attendance at NEST...sorry everybody else, but rules is rules. Privacy and all that.
I see that being pretty close to:

"NEST pics are up and those who didn't go ha ha sucks to be you , you can't see the pictures na na na na"
I guess you’ll just have to chalk me up as being one of the “sorely disappointed”
(don’t worry though, I’ll get over it eventually … after I pour my heart out in a thread or two). 😛

I sincerely hope that this doesn't turn into the whiny bitchfest that it did last year. NEST is a community event open to anyone and everyone, young and old, newbies and vets, assholes and sweethearts. The people who didn't go didn't go because they chose not to - not because they weren't allowed or weren't invited. Largely due to this fact, well over 100 people attended NEST last year, and it is absolutely ridiculous to expect Amn to privately PM each and every one of them and say, "Hey folks, I've got pics." Someone would inevitably get forgotten and/or innocently left out, and all holy hell would break loose.

The bullshit that comes up on the forum when people bitch unnecessarily about things like this are what deter shy people and newbies from attending gatherings, because it's easy to assume that the vibe there is alot like the vibe here - and it's absolutely not.

If anyone wants to do a favor to newbies and folks who haven't come out of their shell around here yet, try not stirring shit up unnecessarily. Let the environment on the TMF mimic that at gatherings, where folks are welcoming, accepting and happy to meet and take in new people whether they're silly and outgoing or painfully shy.

Amn, I'll be PMing you for the link. I don't have it from last year. Thanks :bubbleheart:

Perfectly put.

Also, that is such a great picture of Zach. He had a good time. Might of worn him out a little. 😀

I don't think making the thread is what makes people shy away, but making a thread about pictures that only certain people can see probably only furthers the whole idea of cliques and exclusivity to other people.

Just sayin'.

You put all this work into the pictures, spending a few extra minutes sending PMs to the people who CAN see the pics would have probably been a better idea. Bitchfest, and bitching about the bitchfest, avoided.

Did you just make a very public thread about very exclusive pictures?

Oy.
