NEST is probably the safest party you have ever gone to. Why do we say that? If you are a single woman attending any other "vanilla" party you are fair game for people hitting on and groping you. I have heard horror stories from friends about this.
At NEST we have a strict NO TOUCHING UNLESS GIVEN PERMISSION rule. We are also heavily monitored by our own security team. We have never had an incident in ten years where anyone was put into a compromising position.
Now it IS an event with ticklers and ticklees. Therefore, expect a little of that. But no one can attack you or grab at you unless they ask first. Of course, as an adult everyone must use common sense and communication is the key. However, those repeat violators will find themselves on their proverbial ass and never be allowed to another NEST (and possibly any other gatherings anywhere).
If you are new we will ask you to fill out a screening form when you apply to register. However, I am altering this rule where you can either fill out a screening form or have a very dependable friend who is a NEST alumni vouch for you. This is a person whom you must know personally and have met in real life and not simply an internet buddy. If someone sponsors you and you turn out to be a problem, then both of you are banned.
The reason I am such a hard ass about this is that we have been around a long time and pride ourselves in providing an environment where everyone feels safe and comfortable.
I invite any potential new attendees to respond and air their questions and concerns and we will be happy to tell you all you need to know.
Peace
Max
