NEST is probably the safest party you have ever gone to. Why do we say that? If you are a single woman attending any other "vanilla" party you are fair game for people hitting on and groping you. I have heard horror stories from friends about this.

At NEST we have a strict NO TOUCHING UNLESS GIVEN PERMISSION rule. We are also heavily monitored by our own security team. We have never had an incident in ten years where anyone was put into a compromising position.

Now it IS an event with ticklers and ticklees. Therefore, expect a little of that. But no one can attack you or grab at you unless they ask first. Of course, as an adult everyone must use common sense and communication is the key. However, those repeat violators will find themselves on their proverbial ass and never be allowed to another NEST (and possibly any other gatherings anywhere).

If you are new we will ask you to fill out a screening form when you apply to register. However, I am altering this rule where you can either fill out a screening form or have a very dependable friend who is a NEST alumni vouch for you. This is a person whom you must know personally and have met in real life and not simply an internet buddy. If someone sponsors you and you turn out to be a problem, then both of you are banned.

The reason I am such a hard ass about this is that we have been around a long time and pride ourselves in providing an environment where everyone feels safe and comfortable.

I invite any potential new attendees to respond and air their questions and concerns and we will be happy to tell you all you need to know.

Peace

Max

So nest is like a big event or something? This ought to be interesting, I probably should go there. Where is it exactly?

Even if I can make it in...which is highly dependent on several factors currently beyond my control, if I stay at my parents in the Philly Burbs, how do I explain where I'm going during the day/evening?

Oy...and if I come into town and they find out I was there and didn't tell them...ruckus shall ensue...

I guess we shall see what happens...

Thanks Snail, can you keep me posted on the deadline that Max wants NEST newbs to register by?

I hope to go, but I will at some point in time.

NEST is the largest annual gathering of ticklephiles in the world (I believe). Last year, roughy 80 people showed and that's down from the 120 that signed up. It takes place in Philadelphia, PA every year. More information can be found here: www.kittletown.com

No worries Camel. My folks still think it's a cartooning convention. LOL

Ah, I see. Okay. Philly huh? I have relatives there. They'd probably let me stay with them while I am there.

Hey Camel, if I get there you could introduce me as your 'friend' and we could go out on the town every evening!😉

Karen--I wanna go to NEST so we can gang up on some worthy folks!!! I think you are AWESOME!!! It would be worth the potential shame from my parents finding out about NEST to meet you!!!

Ah...NEST...delicious...*drools at the thought of attending*

sadly, i seriously doubt i can go this year, but i WILL go next year in '08 for sure.

if i have the cash, i might just use the money i save up for a little vacation, maybe visit someone special 😉

ya, if me and wade go, i'm sure we'd be under the tickly fingers of many of professional ticklers, i.e. Karen... 😉

Hey hey hey, don't forget Camel there Norm. The tag-team of those two ladies is sure to instill ticklish fear into anyone and they are two of the reasons I want to go to NEST.

i haven't forgotten about her 😉

we've been talking about getting together and visiting for some time.

definitely gonna use this year's vacation money for visiting someone😎

Okay so two things:

Do we ever have any producers that show up to NEST? It would be pretty neat to meet some of the people who make the media.

The other thing is kinda like my situation. I live in Minnesota, have never been to a city bigger than the Twin Cities, felt lost up there, and I hear Philadelphia is quite large, so, exactly how would I, a 25 year old big city newb figure out how to not get lost and end up in some dungeon of some vampire cult or something. And airfare isn't going to be like 10 bucks. And if I actually didn't get killed by vampires in the process of getting there, what's to say that for 300 airfare and all accomodations (hell probably more like 500) that I would even get to tickle a good looking woman? Somehow I get the feeling that of 80 people who will show up 60 of them will be dudes. Or 70. BUT.....I still would be so there if I lived in Philly just cause.

I think because I live in Minnesota I'd be better to take that 500 and find a woman here to tickle. Would be great to meet some of the people from TT though.

Two answers! (hopefully)

1) While some video producers sponsor the event (provide stuff for the raffle), most do not show in person. Those who were there last year included MTP Jeff (Magic Touch Productions), Max Speer (KittleTown), BellaRisa (BellaRisa Productions) and myself (Snail Shell artwork inc., patent pending) 😀 Most of the patrons are regular folks with regular jobs who just like tickling. I've met everything from a restaurant server to a legal assistant to a computer analyst to an ER surgeon. 🙂

2) I went in totally cold last year. I knew NOBODY. Never talked to any even on the phone. Hardly anyone from PM's and IM software. Within an hour of getting there, I had secured rides to anywhere I wanted to go, stuff to do when no activities were planned and shook enough hands to give the Incredible Hulk carpal tunnel syndrome. Basically, as long as you go, have fun and follow the rules (www.kittletown.com), someone will want to play with you. It's like any other social situation. There's just more tickling. 🙂

Hope that helps dude!

...And thats when the CHUDs got me. (Sorry could not be helped. :super_hap )

I so glad that NEST is still going strong. I remember reading about it back in the old ASFT days. Never actually went to one though I do fit the geographical profile. Maybe one day...

Yeah you know if it keeps going strong, maybe someday when 500 bucks won't be such a big deal and I'll be able to come. Right now all I'm focused on besides from what I'm doing for a day job : P is just hooking up with a woman for an intense night. No sex, just tickling.

Does NEST cost anything to attend?

Last year, admission was $20. The main costs are getting there and the hotel. The deal we got last year was $65/night for the hotel (down from $80).

im really considering going, itll be a first for me. I really wanna explore more about tickling and actually get to do some tickling and be tickled since i really dont get to....im so deprived 🙁. Hopefully theres some young cutegilrts with cute tummys 🙂

Just going to nip this in the bud here because I've gotten a small pile of PM's on the subject. NEST is not, repeat NOT, a dating service. It is a party/social gathering of ticklephiles. If you come expecting to find the tickle partner of your dreams, you may very well go home disappointed. It is a great opportunity to meet new friends in the tk community.

What I'm getting at is, come to NEST, be social and have fun. If you see someone you would like to play with, just like in any social situation, strike up a conversation with them and ask. There is no guarantee that you will find your dream ler/lee, fall in love and have wild nights of intense monkey tickling. From experience I can say that if you go, are respectful of everyone and follow the rules, you'll get to play with a variety of people.

Remember, the people at NEST are people first and ticklephiles second.

the hollywood brother think that everyone who is coming form all over the world to go to nest in philadelphia should wear phillies red on there clothes and run the art muesum steps. many people come to philadelphia for the tickling but by wearing red you can also show support for the phillies and the legend himself the phillie phanatic. also to run the steps and then see the rocky statue is a treat that you will never ever forget.
