NEST Traditions

Every time I go to NEST, There are certain things I always do.
Without fail, every year. Sometimes those things change
slightly, but here are mine:

1) Morning Breakfast at a diner (I miss Silk City!)
2) Buy a new shirt (something always seems to happen to the one I've got on)
3) DON'T tickle someone I wanted to, and said I would
4) I tickle someone I've seen at a previous NEST, and whom I didn't tickle then.
5) I always leave something behind!

NEST Traditions -

I make friends with housekeeping! They are from a city in India that I got to visit last year on a business trip so we had lots to talk about.

Morning Breakfast at the diner - I miss Silk City too!

Italian Ice - I missed that one this year but I got a fruit smoothie!

Visiting the Condom Kingdom on South Street to get goodies to bring home - I missed that this year too! Gotta go twice next year! I just LOVE that store!

Getting everyone to introduce themselves at the social - Max's game helped with that and then doing the introductions around the room was great too. I kept hearing people say... Oh my goodness! that's ???? WOW! Cool!

Picking people up at the airport - I just love that job! It's always fun! And by the way... MAX... where is Andy's Red Feather? How can I pick him up next year without it? He won't know who I am!

I guess to be fair, I should say I've only been to the one... XD

1. Place NEST either at the beginning, middle or end of a vacation/visit to some other place besides Philly

2. Visit South street and NEVER buy anything not food related!

3. Go to Oregon Cafe for desserts...YUM!!

4. See the Ben Franklin bridge and want to walk it be never do

5. Maintain a mental log of all the 'lee transgressions to be accounted for at a future time determined by me.

6. Sometimes pick up, but always drop off Bella at the airport, along with any others departing around that time.

I've only been to one NEST so far, but I have a feeling a few of the following will become traditions.

Get tickled
Have my smart assed mouth get me in trouble
Hang out with cool people
Squeak
"Gr."
Have my hair completely destroyed from being gang tickled
Have someone embarrass me

Im going to always pack my bag this way:

overnight bathroom accesories

enough clothes for four days

tickling giveaways {mags,movies,feathers}

leather restraints {comfortable costly type}

enough rope to wrap around two beds twice

List of ticklee's who might be attending

comfortable blind fold for the lee's

and the confidence of a great Ler

Some of the things I ALWAYS do at any of these tickle or foot functions (Hmm . . Foot Function. I like the sound of that. Hahaha)

1) I ALWAYS end up NOT tickling enough 'Lees due to my extreme shyness.

2) I ALWAYS wind up needing a ride from someone (THANX Venray. You &
Venraya are SO SO nice & accomodating. I appreciate all you've
done for me during my stay.)

3) I ALWAYS drink lots & LOTS of bottled water. Not really a beer, soda or
hard liquer kind of guy.

4) I ALWAYS get to massage some sweet feet. I just LOVE the soles.

5) I ALWAYS spend more than I should.

6) I ALWAYS get emotional when it's time to leave.

7) I ALWAYS leave wishing I had more guts to approach someone & ask THE
question.

Bake a ton of cookies to share....and put crack in Terorizers so he goes through withdrawal.

Tease the hell out of everyone. SAMming is such fun!

Breakfast with the gang on Monday morning.

Going to all the different shops and stuff on South St.

Crying when we leave. (but it's worth it!)

1. Hooking up with long time friends.
2. Meeting new people and making new friends.
3. Watching Lee Allure tickle somebody. She is poetry in motion.
4. Telling Lite she is NOT innocent, and that she IS fun.
5. Talking with Jonmath, whose dry wit and humor makes every conversation interesting.
6. Eating dinner at the Waffle House on the border of Delaware and Maryland. (We don't have any Waffle Houses in the DC area. )

Hmm...I don't really have any traditions as of yet (since this was my first one), but these are things that I'm sure will BECOME traditions:

1. My flight getting delayed
2. Getting lost at the airport on several different occasions
3. Finally getting to hang out with some cool people
4. Getting no sleep
5. Spontaniously singing the theme the The A-team all throughout the weekend
6. Doing the Rocky pose (we are in Philly) after a really awesome scene

My biggest tradition for the day of NEST...

1) Look at everyone about to enter NEST and see if there is ANY common connection of age, race, creed, sex...you know what...not a single common "connection" appears...just a bunch of very different people having one love of tickling.

2) Pay Jan deposit. Then think that is one fine, ticklish lady there.

2) Explore the NEST location, look for all the little nooks and crannies the place has to offer.

3) Find Max...shake his hand. Fight urge to bow and pull a Wayne's World "were not worthy"

4) Work my way out of my shell...boy did I come out of my shell this year.

Recount my adventures en route to Philly to everyone

Promise myself that we'll tour those ships at Penn Landing and have dinner on the Moshulu (this was gonna be THE YEAR, DAMMIT!) Next year FOR SURE, and I mean it this time! 🙄

Break bread at least once at Silk City

Run around like a lunatic, because all of a sudden there's not enough time in the day to get everything done, yet remarkably somehow, it still gets done.

Share the love, because as we all know (sing along with me, kids, you know the words), "It's all about the love".

List the funny shit we've said, heard, and done for retelling here for those who couldn't make it.

Hold Jan for Lee to tickle at least once.

Miss everyone like crazy after it's all done. The Post NEST Blues never get any easier, do they gang?

Hmmm...

* Try to explain to my spanking friends why I do this for the umpteenth time

* Watch a new movie and have chinese food with the hubby while I finish packing (haven't missed a year yet)

* Search for my neck pillow for sleeping on the plane, and finally find it under my daughter's bed every single year

* Find the one anklet I have left that whatever crawling daycare baby I have that year hasn't popped yet

* Try to get just one more pair of cute shoes into my suitcase while the hubby just shakes his head 🙄

* Buy buckeyes (yummy OH chocolate and peanut butter candy) for Max from the airport (totally forgot this year, sorry luv!)

* Read a new Dave Barry or FoxTrot or FBOFW book bought just for the trip, with my little airport coffee and a chocolate chip cookie

* Rediscover carbs at various awesome diners (I sooo missed Silk City )

* Mention Bowlegged Lou to Terry at least once

* Escape someone's supposedly inescapable bondage

* Have at least two, usually several, incredible foot massages

* Renew my crush on the piano player at the club a few of us visit every year

* Buy something girlie. This year's wind chime looks beautiful hanging off my tree

* Do my best not to cry until I'm home

* Fail, and lean my head against the plane window looking like a lost 5 yr old...

I go nuts when anyone wiggles their fingers at me. It's like I can feel the tickling long distance. Randy, Lite, Ray, Tracey, Ann and Drew kept calling me all weekend - even if we were at the same table - and when I'd answer they'd all wiggle their fingers in my direction!

LOL... BRATS! You're all BRATS!

And I just LOVE you all so much!
