Hey Im kinda new here, but I've heard alot about Nest and I think I really want to go. When is it? How many people are going? What exactly goes on there? If there is a Nest thread sorry I couldnt find it I tried looking for one. Im just curious because from what I've heard it sound pretty cool.
 
I'm hoping NEST will be held in Massachusetts. I'm from the Boston area and my work keeps me from traveling out of state I would love to meet the ticklish girls from the TMF and hope to have the chance to tickle them silly as they of course would be able to get ahold of my very ticklish feet

NEST itself is always held in Phili. But...There are others in your area with whom you may be able to connect. They've had at least one gathering there in the last year. Check out the gatherings section for information.

Yeah, NEST will always be held in Philly. You might be able to start your own gathering, though!
 
Ann and Viper thanks for your advice I hope to one day join all of you in Philly. I always thought it was in different locations in the US. I'm not sure how to go about hosting my own but i'll see what I can do..Thanks again :happyfloa
 
Ahh NEST...I've always wanted to go but haven't yet dug up the guts to actually do it LOL I guess I'm still suffering from that "What if no one likes me? What if the other girls are prettier than me?" first-middle-school-dance thing most of us girls went through 🙂 Oh well! Some day 🙂

Aren't you already IN Philly?!?!? You've got what's probably the biggest event in the tickling community in your backyard, and you're still sitting on the fence? Ack! The biggest regrets we have in life are the things we wished we'd done when we had the chance! Don't let NEST slip through your fingers; we always have a blast and it's just like a big, tickle-family! :tickle: :grouphug:

Do you have to be of a certain age? Or can everyone go, even people like me who aren't 21 yet??? (dammit I can't WAIT until July!!!!!!!!!!) :disgust:

I haven't been to NEST yet but I'm considering going depending on my finances. I did go to a gathering in Dallas this past labor day. I was thinking the exact way you did. I felt that way while the host kept at me to come because he was short on females. I felt that way while shaking in front of my computer making the reservations. I felt that way on the plane at 6am and on the second plane at 7am. I felt that way at the airport and to the hotel. I felt that way when my gracious host picked me up from the hotel. And I really felt that way when I got to the actual event. The first time I saw a woman get restrained for tickling, I thought I was going to pass out on the spot, but my host was right by my side taking care of me. I even ended up being the lee once and had the ride of my life from two skilled ticklers (my host and one other ler) who took gentle care of me and helped me out with a severe leg cramp.

I said all of that to say this:

I thought exactly the same as you. I don't find myself the most attractive of people. I'm definitely a big chick as well. No one seemed to care about my looks at the gathering. You know what folks care about when a group of ticklers and ticklees get together in a building? You guessed it-tickling! Very little else matters because you're with the one group of people who know that part of you that you don't have to hide from the vanilla world. You get to let your hair down and be safe with people from all walks of life and from all over the country.

And as far as being safe is concerned, you won't be safer anywhere else. The attendees are extremely respectful. Anyone who does fall out of line risks getting put out so don't worry about it being some sort of free-for-all. It's not that way at all! If people were getting hurt, the event wouldn't be growing the way it has over the years.

Hey, you can hang with me if you want-it'll be only my second gathering and I'll probably be scared as hell again. But I know someone will be there to help me get through my fears and have a really good time. :tickle:
 
There will be many of us there to help you all feel comfortable, just as they did for Tracy and i at our first gathering....A lot of great people attend....

If I move to Columbus, Ohio, after Christmas I realy might just consider going to the NEST.

I just hope I wouldn't be 2 awfuly up tight since I wouldn't know anyone.
 
I went 2 years ago for the 1st time, one of the best times of my life - no regrets. I felt immediately comfortable with everyone and hope to attend again this year!

LOL Yes Dan I'm less than 2 hours from Philly LOL so it's like going would be a big expense..I dunno..I'm a Libra LOL indecisive is my middle name 🙂 I'd love to go! My first obstacle is convincing myself LOL and my 2nd will be convincing my bf. He knows all about my tickle "thing" and loves it, but I dont know how he'd feel about getting together with a whole bunch more of me LOL We'll see 🙂 I do appreciate everybody's replies though 🙂 Keep on my butt about it and maybe I'll get up the guts to go!

Age: You must be 18 years of age or older to participate, 21 or older to drink at the club. We try to find clubs that allow the same rule, but occasionally, there might be 21 or older rule that we have to wiggle around for the younger folk, like myself. ;-)

QBWeaver and MaxSpeer are incredibly busy. Tkl-Duo or myself can answer any questions that people have if you don't find the answers you're looking for on the assorted NEST posts on the forums, or the NEST website that Ann mentions above.

I hope you can make Nest as it truly is a gathering to experience and from attending myself I can say every penny I spent was worth every minute meeting and having a wonderful time with others that share the love,passion for tickling :happyfloa
