NEST2009 Philadelphia - Registration OPEN!

can a former moron get in on this year? ims orry for the hell i caused in the past and id really like to attend this year. i still like the idea of being " kidnapped " and tickle tortured ^_^

Sigh... I'm not fond of sending money orders through snail mail or courier and I do not do online purchases for any reason whatsoever because I frankly don't trust PayPal or any such sites with my personal information, despite what is said in any privacy policy. (Such policies are not legally binding and there's little to no recourse for violations)

What a bummer and this was a year I was going to try to make a conscientious effort to go to NEST since I had no school. 🙁

'Zat so? Guess I'll have to think twice before ordering anything else fro Amazon.com or (yecch!) Ebay. I'd rather shop locally whenever possible anyway.

I've registered and paid. I use visa gift cards whenever possible so I don't worry about getting ripped off too much.

Wow! This is 15/20min from my house... I have never been to one before though. Have to say, I'm nervous to sign up.

the hollywood brother has heard of this nest before and the idea is a good one. celebreties like the main tickler from blue fetish can have a autograph table and sell ticklish memoribilia while newbies can learn tips and tricks to make them tickle like the hollywood brother. the other thing that is probably good about nest is that it creates a warm feeling in that everyone there is a tickle lover and the power of the tickle brings everyone together. the only negative is that it is only a few days so people that travel all over the world for the Nest do not have time to see all the great sights like the jersey shore and get to eat at world famous resturants like groff's and neils steak house.

Hey -- I'm close as well. Does anyone know if there's a way to participate without staying at the hotel?

I was looking into that as well, though one misses the camaraderie of the festival that way.

One MAJOR concern of mine - the hotel is near an AIRPORT. I once stayed at a hotel which was located right smack dab next to Newark International. My sleep was frequently interrupted by incoming jets. Those suckas are L-O-U-D!!!! I would prefer to lose some camaraderie in order to not feel like I'm a Canada Goose on a collision path with an Airbus...

I beleive there is and it may just involve the registration fee. Other people live nearby and attend all weekend while others stay in different hotels if they wish.

The last time a gathering was held near the airport I slept well with no noise. I'm hoping for the same this year.

from what the hollywood brother hears you might want to be more concerned about the area of the hotel then the noise. it is rumored that there is crime and evil in that section of pennsylvania where nest is held.

Yes, there is - there is no requirement to stay at the hotel, and there are others in
the vicinity, or if you had space to stay locally, we're ok with that, too.

This is sort of near the airport (which makes things very convenient for travel!) but not in the flightpath. We have stayed near by before, and had no issues. I'll be happy to bring some ear plus for you (and others!) if that will help ensure that you sleep soundly. Plus,
it might offer extra incentives for your roommate or friends to tickle you in the morning... 😉

This section of Philly is pretty safe. I've been going to philly for over a dozen years, and
have never had anything happen criminally, to a car or a person, verbally or physically,
in all that time. There are certainly areas of philly I wouldn't hang out in, but most of
the town is so much fun, as is where we're staying 😉

Feel free to email [email protected] if you have any questions, or PM me here.

Going to this event is wholly recommended. 🙂 See you in May!

Over 80 people registered so far - shaping up to be quite fun,
with a lot of new people coming, and loads of veterans, too!
