Was it stupidity? A really F'd up way of a do it yourself abortion?

This little girl is a candidate for mandatory permanant birth control sentenced upon her so she can NO longer even attempt to have a child.

Another bad parent? What's going on here? First, a little girl is left alone for over a week, now this. Lord.

I wish I could add something cheery to this, but this type of thing happens a lot more than we hear about. I grieve when I do hear about it and only hope with the science and social studies we have we can help children exposed to such circumstances overcome these things.

I agree with the mandatory birth control to a point. This woman is not the type to be having kids. This sounds like deliberate malice and a gross disregard for the sanctity of human life. However, I would also be wary of the government stepping in and trying to enforce this too. As I recall, there was an order like this in the past, but I wonder how a judge would have his ruling carried out in a way that protects life and the right to life?

Mom is obviously a sick individual. I think the baby will be fine, though, in the long run, so long as it's not in the clutches of this mother.

An example of society going down hill. Babies suffering because their young parents don't care or take their responsibility lightly. Local Social Services organizations got their work cut out for them.

Yeah this is sick - the mother must be an alcoholic. Unfortunately it's not as bad as it gets. Wait until you see your first crack-baby.

(BTW, 1.8% is physically impossible. Intoxication in most states is .08%, and people have been known to die from alcohol poisoning at .35%. No one, not even someone who drinks constantly every day can get 1.8% I think the highest ever recorded blood-alcohol is around .70%)

another way to look at this

did anyone stop to consider that maybe the mother was affraid of the birthing pain, and decided to have a few drinks in the hope of getting a little numb? or maybe she was at a very special event ,like her great grandmother's 100th birthday party, and decided, oh what the hell, i'm due any day now, a couple glasses of wine won't hurt.

now i'm not condoning drinking while pregnant, as a nurse i know the problems that can result. but everyone is jumping on this girl w/o all the facts! let's put the rope away till we hear her side huh?
